Another good experience I've had on GH is even when you mess something up in a trade, people are awesomely understanding HuehHHUEHUEHUhueUHEHUEEUHuhEUUE (I feel terrible about assuming the black sliders for the modifiers of Type-S Realforce boards meant non-silenced, thank you guys for not beating me up for it).

You endeavors for Topre science is mind-blowing  :thumb:

You didn't mess up anything ~ Therefore, you have no reason to be sorry. I might wrassle you a lil' tho, if ya know what I mean ;)

I haven't had a lot of interaction on either site, but I love that the community is so ready to help anyone with anything.

The best experiences that i've had have actually been irl. One of my residents was in to mechs and frequented r/mk, and that was a great way to start interaction with him and some other members of the hall. A girl that lived in my building was the only person that ever came into my room that knew what that "wierd little old lookin keyboard" on my desk was (HHKB), and apparently shes an avid r/mk'er. I also got to meet a geekhacker (joey quinn i believe, now that ive been here a bit), which was awesome to talk to someone that was really involved in the community.

I love mechs, but how awesome the community is really makes this hobby something special.

Yep that was me! Glad to see your alps Dox worked out. I remember you being nervous about attempting it. Also I'll have some cool boards and such to show you next year.

Oh and Vesper saints replys and .gifs are one of the many great things about GH.

I just miss Vespers original avatar when I first joined, that picture of a purple Robot from an Anime or something.  :)

Congratulations jerue, sorijealut and retrochick :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Any idea what sort of custom you want?

I'm actually working on one right now. I designed the plate and had it cut at big blue saw. I've almost finished wiring it, and I'm making the case out of wood by hand. Hit some speed bumps with the case though, mostly just finding the right tools, so it'll be a bit before I get it finished. I'll probly throw up a post about it sooner or later.

Waddup! yeah I was surprised how well it worked out, I was sure I was going to mess something up.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll have a custom done by the time the semester starts.
Any idea what sort of custom you want?

If you want me to design a PCB for you just let me know!
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

Congrats to the winners!

As I promised in my entry, I got into the Low Sodium sale, so once I'm home from vacation I'll be doing a giveaway on the Juicy Fruit Red Topre Esc I got from Bro's last giveaway.  :thumb:

So if you have a Topre board and are still Broless, keep an eye out for that. :D I'll be home Saturday so probably this weekend I'll throw it up.
