Hello everyone,
This is Hiexa Key. We are glad to meet you here. Today, we are going to introduce our first custom keyboard - the Hiexa V65.
For the production,
100% fully CNC finish, which allows us to better control quality and improve the craftsmanship of the custom keyboard!
For the design,
we have adopted a simple and atmospheric design language so you can enjoy it for a long time and experience the purely customized keyboard!
For the configuration,
Hiexa V65 adopts a tri-mode HS PCB, which supports VIA & QMK, customized ball catch structure, magnetic connector assembly process, and other configurations.

We adopts a simple and practical design language.

The line-cutting technique makes the side profile more design-oriented and customized.

We used the case's contour to echo the weight balance lines, creating an elegant visual experience between the weight and the bottom case.

Ball Catch Structure

We have adopted a suitable ball catch for the keyboard case, which can be symmetrically distributed on the shell.
Magnetic Connector

Able to simplify the assembly process.
We customized and opened molds for the fixed silicone at both ends of the daughter board,
which were designed with limit points to stabilize the inner liner connection.
3 in 1 Mount

It can support PCB GASKET, Plate GASKET, and TOP mount. You can customize your keyboard structure.
Anti-collision silicone

it avoids the hard contact between the top and bottom cases when assembled, significantly reducing the case's resonance and hollowness.

Other Geeky Stuff / Why is 5G so much cheaper than 4G
« Last post by tress on Thu, 25 April 2024, 21:10:43 »I'm once again looking at possible 'upgrades' to my phone contract, 'upgrades' because I can save 20% in exchange for an 88% loss in data allowance staying on 4G, which isn't ideal. But for the same price I can have an 800% increase in data on 5G?
I would suggest this is because they want to sell me a shiny new tracker phone but both options are sim only, so there must be some technical reason it's so much cheaper which makes no sense when there is no 5G coverage for about 95% of the UK so assumedly they need to put up many more masts.
What's going on?

Ergonomics / Re: First ergonomic keyboard
« Last post by Rhienfo on Thu, 25 April 2024, 19:33:21 »I'm not too well versed when it comes to the options of ergo keyboards, but from my experience with alice layout (which is far more similar to a regular layout so keep that in mind) it was like 5 minutes of it not being great and then was fine.
You shouldn't worry about not being able to switch layouts, you hands get used to it pretty quickly as long as you keeping typing on the boards.
Also if you are worried about making noise, you could always put silent switches, like the haimu silents which are pretty good.
