Title: Anybody get a Unihertz Jelly mini smartphone?
Post by: vivalarevolución on Fri, 18 May 2018, 07:50:43
I like the smallest decent smartphones that are available.  Currently, I am using an iPhone SE.  just found out about the Unihertz Jelly, an Android phone with a 2.45 in screen.  Seems right down my alley.  Anybody have one of these?

I can't stand small phones. I bought a OnePlus 5t (6" screen).

I think it would be better to use a small dumb terminal on your person somewhere that is slaved to a bigger tablet or laptop in your backpack or purse that hosts a bigger computer, a bigger battery and the LTE modem.

Then you could have an even smaller user device than this without sacrificing battery life, horsepower or a big screen for when you actually need one.

I had a OnePlus, but got rid of it because the screen was so big and tempting that I would just spend all day on the phone.  The iPhone SE is small enough that I get frustated with using it after a while and spend less time on my phone.

While a true warrior would just get the smallest phone available, I find that smart phones come in handy from time to time.

But then I would have to carry around a bigger device in my bag, which ruins the whole point of getting a smaller phone.

I don't spend much time on my phone unless I'm just killing time anyways. Typically something else is holding my attention.

Myself I lug my bag around with me everywhere anyway. And you wouldn't have to open the bag to use the phone. You could keep the handset on your person and even walk around a bit from the bag.
Also, the handset could be designed for ergonomics first, not designed primarily to fit around a battery.
