I emailed KBDfans about this during the group buy — the Diamond Cut case will be available as a stock keeping unit on the KBDfans store, albeit at a more expensive price.

They had 529 cases ordered and they made 660 cases but some are probably extras for replacement etc

The only keyboard I have at home is a Pok3r and the plate seemed to be a little too wide for it to fit, which is a bit worrying.
Will bring my banana split home from work tomorrow and see how that goes.

Not yet sadly. I was off sick Friday so didn't bring the Banana home. I will try Monday night. That reminds me - I need to go buy a file in case I have to remove any of the extra mount bits.

what i can tell when he does a group buy he orders some extra's in basic colors.. Silver/black/ and then like red are something... to order from his shop. I betting its the same thing with this.. most likely 50 of silver 50 of black then replacement cases encase there issue.

By mount bits do you mean the pcb standoffs in the case? wouldn't it be easier and much less damaging to just put some tape or other thin insulating material on the unused standoffs?

The poker plate is slightly larger than normal I think, at least my RGB it is. I totally scratched the **** out of a sentraq case trying to use it on my RGB Pok3r and the plate was just a tiny bit too wide. But that was AFTER i had been using the case with my Zeal60 and Mekanisk plate. For me tight tolerances is a positive not a negative .

You know, it's kind of ironic that the Pok3r plate doesn't fit as easily as aftermarket plates. Especially since the Poker is what all the "standardized" 60% dimensions came from. :thinking:

I see your point, but it does make sense bc the poker plates are indeed wider than all of the universal 60%plates out there.

It's where we got the ****ed up mounting points for tray cases. At least here's another one in the lower left which should fix the usual issues. Plates didn't arrive in Pokers until much later, namely the Poker 2. Plus they were low profile.

Yeah standoff would be the term I was looking for. My concern is that there may be diodes or some other component in the way.

In all cases, there's just enough space around the SMDs, so no filing required.


The side standoffs don't align with the screw holes. But the inner four line up perfectly so not a big issue.

PS: if you don't mind my asking, did your shipment have to go through customs or is KBDfans still using their regular proxy for European orders?

Thanks! The shipent was with DHL via fedex, not sure what their regular proxy is tho. I have not yet paid any customs fees, but sometimes these get invoiced later. Declared value was something like $18, so it should not be that bad

I would like to know too, a while ago i asked KBDFans and they said they will use the proxy (uk proxy if i'm not wrong).
