Those caps look nice, great find for $5!. Not sure how well the case would work with an 1800 pcb though.

I can confirm that the case doesn't work with the stock PCB or the Leeku PCB. The posts are different inside as compared to the regular G8X - 18XX cases.

I suppose you could cut the posts and make it work, that way you would have extra room for other electronics.

G80-1851, MX Black, most of 'em. Plus a couple of 1800s and one G81.
I'm doing a little research on degreasers and some whitening process that won't break the polymers, any pointers?
A couple of cases, the worst ones, will be sacrificed for tests.

This one is as bad as it gets:

Are they all German?

If there are any from the late 80's/early 90's in there I would absolutely love one. I actually really really need one.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

When I asked Leeku about the 1800 PCB, he said that adding RGB LED to the PCB will render it incompatible with the 1800 case, anybody know why?

I think its because the led will clash with the case inner part, for example I know that cherry 1800 inner case has sort of plastic grids etc. Thus some of the led location might be on the way

Hi Elth, could you please post pics of the areas on the plastic case you had to cut/file down to acommodate Leeku's plate/PCB?

I went in not knowing that the case needed to be cut, so pretty much everything is done except that.

The keyboard is currently at work so I can't snap any pictures right now, but don't be discouraged after finding out you need to modify the top case for it all to fit.

I've circled the areas on the plate that interfere with the top case; the cuts are very small except for the piece in between the F-row and number row. Also, I'm not 100% on the spot above the Esc and the spot below where the 3 indicator LED's are, but when you try to assemble you'll see if it needs to be cut

I know right; however, would you agree that would be expensive, if I just want to make my current set to fit the layout I have. But, thank you for your comment.
