No problem. I dropped a link to it in my signature now as well, so it's easier for ME to get to it... So now I can just point people to my signature (which by the way is getting pretty big... oh well, still meets the requirements!).

They were offered by The_Beast when he first sold the custom Poker plates. They sold out very quickly. He has talked about possibly offering more, possibly in conjunction with a lube station.

Do switches have to be installed from the bottom of a plate or is it possible to push them in from the top?

You have to push them into the top of the plate. That's why you can't remove the plate without desoldering all the switches.

I mixed up my terms - I have a plate mounted board not PCB ( it is a QFR) so I would need to desolder the switches.  I can't just swap springs and stems.

So you insert the stem down from the top? Sorry, just want to make sure I understand so I can do it right.

I have a Ducky YotD and I'm thinking about a changing the led's color. Are most keyboards the same forward voltage? I would like to swap with another keyboard brand, because of it nice color.

You want to swap the LED or you want to swap the badging/labeling on the case?

Most LED fV depend on the color, and generally range from 1.8 to 3.4. If sticking with the same color family you are probably going to be ok like blue to green, but blue to red for example can require some extra resistors and such unless you really hunt hard for some red with a high fV which are out there but can be difficult to source. Using colored lens is one of easier ways to avoid the fV issue as they are usually in the same 3-3.4 range regardless of lens color.

I believe that whatever you program into your KMAC should be saved into the board's firmware so it should be the same on every computer until you decide to change it.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know the fV differs with color family's. After my post I opened the case and measured it with a DVM and it was 1.238v hi brightness to 0.832v low. My Ducky Yotd has purple (but look more like pink) I like blue better but the one tried for a test it was 3.6fV and too dim even on hi level setting. I'll have to rethink the change to similar color or reconsider the change.

Not sure how people do fonts. I think batman (sp?) does a lot of renders? I know karporkle has done renders for the Raindrop and Phantom Sticker GB. But try matt30's color scheme tool out.

how many leds does the qfr have? will desoldering / soldering back the switches for a mod be pain in the arse?

3 LEDs.

I enjoyed desoldering/soldering on my QFR. Make sure you set aside 5-6 hours if its your first time doing something like this. You will be slow, and it's better you take your time on it anyway.

Crap bags from Signature Plastics seem to only be sold at year's end. They don't all contain the same caps; it's a random selection. Even if you got the crap bag, you might not get the Starfield cap. And that cap might've been a prototype or a one-off and someone decided they weren't happy with it for whatever reason. Those multiple tiny stars might be really hard to mold whereas the hammer and sickle might be easier.
