This is an honest question because I really don't know the answer......

For those with a tenkeyless or smaller keyboard without a dedicated delete key how do you (or do you?) press ctrl-alt-delete....

I'm looking for a board for work and we have to use that key combo to login everytime.

Poker ctrl-alt-delete would be ctrl-alt-FN + Z or FN + /

I usually right click the taskbar instead :)

I use my Poker at work and they have the old ctrl+alt+del to logon, an extra key to press and it is right near the Fn key anyway, it's not really a problem.

There used to be clicky greys with 105cN known as grey36 part number MX1A-B1NW/N. I am not entirely sure when they were discontinued but I think it was around the same time the original whites were. There were also super blues with a deep navy blue color with around 180cN but the part number is unknown to me as I have never seen it mentioned in any catalog or data sheet and may have been a special order switch.

Cherry has the switches listed officially as brown at 55cN, clears at 65cN, while its grey39 counterpart is at 80cN. Similarly with red at 50cN, black at 60cN and grey37 at 80cN. Blue at 60cN with white and green both at 80cN.

Ok maybe someone can make sense of this.

I didn't like cherry mx reds, browns were ok, blues were nice but I couldn't handle the noise and cherry ml is tolerable.

Where do I go next? clears maybe?

I suggest white with light springs mod. They really are quite nice with a soft click more tactile than browns without the noise of blues.

So... would a blue stem with a grey spring be pretty much identical to a green?

With a pure it's fn+shift

Don't use it on linux anyway though.

I second this motion. I tried ergo-whites on the universal switch tester and they were phenomenal. I liked than way more than ergo-clears.

The last sale of girldc caps on TechKeys had 10 or 20 of each set of caps. I believe anything metallic had a count of 10 and anything else had 20. But the only person who would truly know is girldc. You may want to ask this in the Team Redline subforum, in the "Post your girldc" caps, or PM girldc/someone from TeamRedline.

Very newbie question, how easy is replacing the top cover on a TKL Filco or CM keyboard?

There's a thread about purchasing a coloured top for a board and I like the idea (I am lost, first it was new keys..now cases, this is like drugs) but I am not sure how difficult or otherwise it is, I build my own PCs etc so I am not completely stupid with unscrewing stuff with circuits in it, but I don't want to break my keyboards into bits accidentally.

Thanks for answering the dumb Q!

Hey there, I was just about to reply in the GB :D

It is very easy! There are two little tabs you can pop up on the top and bottom of the case using a credit card or something.

This isn't exactly keyboard related, but do posts on off topic not add to your post count? I noticed I have been stuck at 155 for a little while.

Why not use google translate to get the word for brown or green and then search for it on taobao?

Well I found this one and one of the options is "Blu-ray ONE108 milk axis" so that would most likely be a full size board with white switches....

Yes, I see the button but it does not appear to work.

Find video, copy URL, click You Tube button, paste URL, all you get is the following line of text ... no embedded video

I've tried that a couple of times, and the post does show a blank "video" window.  Only one problem, there's no video.  Gives me an "unexpected error, try again later" message when I click on it.
