It's not working for me. But I think it's because it needs to be setup differently.

[youtube|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smmtzejfpZ8&feature=share&list=PL2C14538D781116FE

If you eliminate that portion then try it. It should work.

So use [youtube|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smmtzejfpZ8 instead. (Replace the | with ])

Which is why I say just use the short link, you don't have to edit it and it works every time.

Could someone post a pic of the switch housing disassembly tool that The_Beast sold through his GB?  The pics on the thread are all broken aside from one that just shows the end of them.

I got a set over the weekend. I'll take pics for you later.

It's Korean and I have no idea.

According to the active GB list found here, it is not.

Is this a good deal? http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/sys/3733684092.html

I would say so! If you can local pick that up for $10-15, I would definitely go for it!

I believe that it would have black alps in there.

Yes but please use the "What's it worth" thread for pricing questions in the future. As Halverson said, it should have Tactile Black Alps...although Akimbo just had one with Salmon Alps. And I paid $33 for my Dell AT101W.

What are the difference between a Poker and Pure? I understand Poker is discontinued and the pure is the replacement? Is the Poker 2 the successor the the Pure?

The Poker and the Pure are two different keyboards. They have a slightly different layout and the Pures come both backlit and non backlit forms. You can refer to this post to get pictures and compare the layouts. The main difference is that the Pure has a short right shift and 1x key to the right of the shift.

The Poker Pure is the successor to the Poker 1 but they changed the layout to something completely different. I think everyone was boggled when that was shown.

And yes, the Poker itself is discontinued.

Shipping internationally via USPS can't be done with tracking, AFAIK (or at least as far as I was led to believe).

Probably about $9-10. And the only tracking available is the customs form number. You will get limited tracking.

You can get international tracking if you send it registered but it cost like $12 more on top of the first class rate.

I take it post office workers don't like to send things registered being that they never offer that or deny it exists.

I am sure many of them hate registered because they have to do a bunch of typing in the computer. They loathe anything with extra work involved.

Registered still only gives you the same customs number. The recipient just has to sign for the package.

No, registered has it's own number which has nothing to do with customs form number and is trackable across borders. Even with countries that don't update tracking properly you get delivery confirmation at a minimum.

Maybe the problem is what the problem always is.....they are using the wrong keyboards!

On topic...

I know its not mechanical but the Logitech K750 uses scissor switches right?  :-[

EDIT: Yes it uses scissor switches....wonder what it would take to get a keyboard just like the K750....wireless and solar powered but using ML switches

Oh, okay. I didn't know that. What about with GXG? Have you ever sent something that way? Does it update tracking?

They use G80-11900 at my post office, so it should be a pleasure for them typing!

I don't know about GXG, it is too expensive for me to even have considered using it.
