ohaimark's collection
« on: Mon, 01 May 2017, 11:56:45 »
If you want more pictures or information about certain 'boards, just ask. This is a cross post from Deskthority.

I'm nearing the end of my active collecting phase. I've also sold off most of the "doubles" in my collection, as it is meant to be representative and not comprehensive. If I see something rare that can replace a keyboard in my collection I'll still pick it up, but for the most part I won't be adding or selling anything.

Only two keyboards aren't pictured, and that's because they're in the workshop (they're both Lexmark Ms). I still plan to convert a few of the other keyboards, such as the Panasonic KX, but some of the unconverted ones will stay that way if they don't interest me as short term daily drivers. Maybe I'll convert them if I get bored.

Here it is...

ADDS 1010

Just an oddball White Linear Space Invaders 'board.

Alps MGL Glidepoint Keyboard

Split space bar. Snipped cord. I haven't converted this because the Damped White Alps feel "meh."

Amptron KB-1101

Amber Omron B3G-S. A shameless Model M clone.

AT&T Buckling Spring 122

This beauty is NOS with its original box. I have photos in another topic if you want to see it from other angles.

AT&T Buckling Spring 305B

A few scuffs, dings, and replacement keycaps. Still pretty, though.

Cherry/Tandem G80-1080HAU

Appears unused. Caps are in great shape, less one ding on the left Ctrl key. Didn't even need to clean it.

Dauphin/Datacomp DCK-84B

Alps SKFR variant. New in box.

IBM 7690 Nursing Terminal Assembly

Brown Alps. Dyesub caps. Cool hinges. Ultra-rare system.

IBM Displaywriter

Deep cleaned. PTFE lubed. USB converted with an Xwhatsit. Retractable cable. The works.

IBM Model F AT

Snuci sent this to me as a secret Santa gift. ANSI modded during cleaning.

IBM Model M Silver Label

A bit of a frankenstein. Terminal M top case, standard M guts and bottom case.

IBM Model M Industrial

Once again, a frankenstein. It uses a Unicomp industrial case, donor guts, and a PCB badge.

JIT Keyboard

White KPT clones. Stupidly clicky. Surprisingly nice switches.

KSI-1293

MX Blacks. Trackpoint. NIB.

Laser IFS80-2269-1

Appears unused. SMK 2nd. Gen. MX Mount switches.

Lexmark M15

I call it the CCP-15. Scavenged the caps from a Russian M2.

Lexmark Model M

Bolt modded. Otherwise standard.

Lexmark SSK

Will eventually be a lot_lizard FSSK.

Magicforce 68

Gateron Clears and dyesub caps. O-rings. My gaming and travel keyboard.

OEMMAX MCK-101

Token Blue Alps keyboard. Bigfoot clone. Switches are in okay condition, but not excellent.

Omron F-300K

Fujitsu Leaf Spring Gen. 3, NIB.

Panasonic KX-E8283

Cool keyboard. Four switch types in it. Primarily Green Alps.

PLUM

Cherry ML switches feel like vomit. This is the token ortho in my collection.

Tandy 3000

The only easily convertible Fujitsu Leaf Spring Gen. 3 'board.

Texas Instruments 911

The Hall Effect switches in this are absolutely ruined with grit, so it's mostly a showpiece. Beautiful caps.

Wang MEC-101S

KB-6251 rebrand with Green Alps clones.

XMIT Beta

More

It's wearing Cherry wob doubleshots. The spoiler shows it with Tai-Hao Hawaii. I was a beta tester for XMIT's Hall Effect 'boards.

Amazing looking collection. I know nothing about Alps/BS, but I have a feeling that a lot of these are special and well desired by a lot of people.

Thanks for the compliments (and awe). I'll update this in a while with a couple more important additions, one of which will be replacing my split space bar Alps 'board.

Green Alps, Heavy Cream on the space bar, SKFL for the 4 button nav cluster, and some really tall microswitches (hidden underneath the plastic strip). There's also a power switch, but I won't count that as a 5th type. hah

How did you come to acquire all these? I can see you kept them all with great care.  :)

It's worth noting that I almost never pay a listing's full price on eBay. Some people joke that I'm the "best offer master" on Deskthority, and that's fairly close to the truth.
