How to achieve 4-month lead time: my previous GB Bear schedule was delayed for 2-3 months due to COVID affecting CNY as well as factory arrangement. This time I already contacted the factory to start manufacturing process right after prototypes are verified by streamers, so when GB is happening, those boards are under way being made.

Next round? Extras?: same as Bear, we won’t have R2 nor extras for Piggy, so this chance might be your last chance to get this board.

Down for that Purple! 💜

Seriously, I haven't liked a board this much in a very long time. Time to maybe start getting rid of a few.... Who needs more than 10 custom keyboards? 👀

Update from Jacky on discord a few days ago was that coating / ano was running behind schedule and delivery estimates were pushed back accordingly.

Good point, the tl;dr update from Jacky right now is

Piggy delayed !anodizing and E coating still on process not finished

The reason I’m asking Havattack to stop spamming is because he’s banned in the Jacky’s discord due to his not once but multiple times asking people to copy Jacky’s Elephant S7 design to make the board available for other people while Jacky has not only once but multiple times mention Elephant is not returning. And while Jacky made Piggy available for GB, Havattack had his alt discord account joining the server to flame another time, and now without buying Piggy he’s spamming this thread again. I just don’t get it. Maybe I’m trolling him to say if he’s civil he would be able to ask in discord, but i didn’t mean to keep any secret in discord server. It’s just that right now there are no concrete updates to post here.

You're lying, two time over. I said one time that if enough people want a keeb like the elephant, they should leave him alone, and just design a keeb like it. Some incredibly stupid,  like beyond dumb, oversensitive people somehow thought i was saying they should copy it exactly,  becasue some people are just that silly and dumb (Seriously, how can anyone actually be stupid enough to think that? What would even be the point of copying a board like that exactly? Like someones going to go through the trouble of taking measurements,  create a design, an IC, then GB, with their name on it, and not try to make it uniquely there's? It just boggles the mind that anyone could actually be that dumb.. Like jacky is the only one allowed to make big bezels boards with a macro column...
The second time you are incorrectly referring to, I said it was pathetic that some people are actually happy there will only be 1 round of piggy, because it makes them feel special to have a limited release board. Then one of those poor, pathetic people through tantrum when I exposed  how pathetic  they are.

Huh, correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like geeckhack, not a discord channel... Now, please Mr. Fox news, show the next part, where i clarify my meaning. I'll be the 1st to admit, when dealing with those that can not think properly, warriors of justice, the oversensitive, and easily offended,  one should be more careful with words they choose to use. But i can only repeat myself: if anyone honestly think i meant that the design should just be "copied", like lets grab an elephant, take some measurements, and do this thing! Well, i can only blame our education system.
AS anyone trying to be honest can gleam for that, (and as i went on to explain in that thread he is selectivity quoting...) i meant design a board INSPIRED by it:  a big bezeled 60 with a macro column. (still boggles the mind that anyone could possibly lack the mentally acuity to read that,(the entire thread) and go: "this guy just wants to steal the design, and make an exact copy."
I did MISTAKENLY use the word "copy" but i think anyone with any sense can tell i did not mean an exact copy.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with providing people with a product they want, when no one else is producing it. People like the M0110, so The modern M0110 was made (an actual almost exact copy), people still love the M0110 so the Hello was made, people still love the M0110, so Hello again was made. None of those people did anything wrong, and neither would anyone making a keeb inspired by the elephant.
What's the difference? That apple is a big company? Or is it the time that's passed sense the original? That i used the word "copy" as a a shorthand? All I ask is that some one can explain, logically,(clearly not that guy) what is wrong with making a keeb based on the design of another keeb? If you can, i will of coarse admit my wrong doing, but you can't, so, please continue the illogical, self-righteous, whining, I guess.
"Please stop spamming this thread if you’re not genuine customer of piggy."

I quote from "Updated Group Buy Rules and Guidelines" (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=115197.0):
Quote
It is requested to post an update at least monthly, even if there is no progress in manufacturing.

The point is that for what is my knowledge here on geekhack there are many GB threads that do not have updates for months ...

It would probably be better if we all got back to good old habits :p

I did MISTAKENLY use the word "copy" but i think anyone with any sense can tell i did not mean an exact copy.

copy
/ˈkɒpi/

noun, plural cop·ies

An imitation, reproduction, or transcript of an original

I don't know how this could possibly be taken out of context - You said copy so you meant copy; not an original design that take inspiration from or a modified version of, a copy. If you meant otherwise, you wouldn't have said copy.

1. I think it's adorable that you think words have intrinsic meanings! They mean whatever the person using them intended, and do a lesser edegree, what the person hearing them wants them to mean.  Dictionaries are NOT authorities on the usage of words they simply list their most common usages.
2. Right... Becasue you somehow how know what goes on inside my own head, better then I? You should contact some scientist, you might be the 1st actual real physic ever!
I clarified what I meant. If you don't want to believe me, that's cool. I would also say that Hello again is a "copy" of a a vintage M0110, but it differs in a number of ways.
So.. you honestly believe, now just try real hard  to think about it, (you can do it, I believe in you!) that i meant make an exact copy, when the world of custom keebs has a ton of new innovations and trends since the elephant's inception? You honestly believe that someone would go through the trouble designing a keeb, even one based off an existing one (as if ALL keyboard are not based on their predecessors.) and just copy that other keyboard exactly? Like they wouldn't have their own preferences? ..Huh, well, okay.  I think your being dishonest, but whatever.
All that being said, and ignoring what i originally meant, there would STILL be absolutely nothing wrong with someone deciding to be really lame and boring, and copy the board almost exactly. (I still don't know why anyone would possibly do that.. or even believe that someone would want to do that...) And you have, continuity, over and over, failed to make a logical case for why it would be wrong.
NEXT!

EDit: I don't want to clog this thread up anymore, so i'll just edit this post- I predict that the very next post will be more baseless insults, with zero substance, becasue when you back the incompetent into a corner, that's what you get.
"Diatribe" Who or what do you imagine i was "attacking"? I haven't insulted anyone, I don't need to, so far, all the available information points to me being correct, and no matter how many times i ask for someone  to please demonstrate how i'm wrong, that can't, and just want to name call like an emotional child. Unlike you, I rather know when I'm wrong, so i can stop being wrong.

Edit deuce: "Short story" Jesus christ, the education in this country is abysmal...  There are some poor dolts that think a few sentences is a "short story".. I wish i could say I thought that level of ignorance was "adorable" but it's just gross and sad.
"Baited", yeah.. you got me.. sigh..

Still waiting on something of substance.. I like pitiful, baseless, personal attacks as much as the next guy.. But just at least TRY and make some kind of point.. please.

there was no "threadcrapping" on my part. check your pathetic little bias..

The new rules require monthly updates in order to attempt to fix the problems you mention. The fact that there are threads which have not updated for months does not mean that is okay. Please report any such threads that you come across so that the mod team can react accordingly.

As honoka correctly mentioned, pointing people to discord is not acceptable. It's completely unreasonable to expect people to join dozens of discord servers to keep up to date on the buys they've entered. All updates must also be posted on geekhack if the buy is listed here. Organizers are more than welcome to host their buys elsewhere if this is too much effort.

Your observation is unexceptionable and I completely agree: from today I will be happy to report behaviors that do not respect these rules.

I think then that a general reminder to everyone can be of help in remembering this rule by asking everyone to be proactive in reporting when a GB - while clearly indicating the existence of a dedicated discord server, making it clear that this is the place to go to check for the latest updates - it doesn't have at least monthly updates here on geekhack.

Personally it was thanks to this thread that I learned about this rule, which I previously ignored: and I am one of those who use Discord a lot to have those updates that are often missing or arriving late here - mind you: not for demerit of geekhack but based on what the managers of the GB do.

Hi all, one of jacky's discord mods here (oge_poge🐻) - jacky's mod team will make sure to post regular updates on geekhack from now on. I was unaware of the posting rule until seeing the discussion in this thread. Sorry to everyone who has been feeling left in the dark, it is definitely not fair to expect geekhack users to follow updates exclusively through discord. As ZongZiWang said previously, anodising and ecoating stage is causing some delays. During jacky's last update he did not give an new estimated date for when we can expect shipping to happen. Here are some screenshots from the discord with updates from jacky, and pics of some of the piggies so far:

Hey folks! BIG UPDATE!

Piggy Order Address Change or Confirmation Form is live until Nov 30th:
https://forms.gle/PUgMtZ1mrbTtvpA88

Piggy GB has not shipped yet (schedule to start shipping in December), this is the form to change or confirm address. The form will be live until Nov 30th and after that we will start shipping the orders. Like Bear GB, shipping invoice will be sent later when your order is shipped.

If you wanna change your address on the order, please fill out the form for us to accurately change your shipping address. If you don't need to change the address, please still fill out the form to confirm your current address on the order.

If you have multiple orders, please make sure you find your first order with the base kit - that's the address we will be using.

Q: How to check my address on the order?
- Option 1: search email “jacky lab order confirmed”, click "View your order" button to verify the shipping address
- Option 2: go to https://jackylab.com// and sign up or log in with your email and find the first order (ignore other later orders since we will merge your multiple orders under same email into one shipment)

Q: I have multiple orders, do they get merged into one order for shipping?
A: If you have multiple orders, you can follow the option 2 above to get shipping address of your first order.

Q: Can I just change default address of my online account on https://jackylab.com// and will it ship to that new address?
A: The default address of your online account is for the future orders. For Piggy GB, please use this form to confirm or change your address.

Will post again with more info as it is released!

UPDATE: All the shipping address change requests have been processed, please check your order address (see previous update for how) to verify the new address looks correct. If there is any issue, please reach out.

The shipping order is:

Beige
White
PC
Red
Purple
Brass

If you ordered multiple colors/have multiple orders, your order will not be shipped until all colors you ordered are available.
Please be aware that you will receive shipping invoice only after your order has a tracking number - jacky has used this practice for all his groupbuys.

I will provide an update once the first batch has shipped.

Copied and pasted from an announcement made on the discord:

tl;dr: Shipping will be DELAYED without a super concrete timeline, address change form will be still opened until further notice.

Now here is why it's delayed and also what happened for the past two weeks since the shipping supposed to start:
- For the PC case, during QC (quality control), Jacky found certain cases had stripped screw holes and they are on the way back to be redone (not only for the screw hole, but also re-sanding the case after the screw hole re-worked)
- For the e-beige and e-white cases, during QC, Jacky found not small amount of internal defects, and they are back to e-coating again. They looked okay before e-coating, possibly because the surface being sanded or not easily to discover these defect spots until they are coated.
- For anodized cases, they are not fully done at beginning of December (that's why they are down in the original shipping list), some finished products did not have the perfect quality that Jacky expected and currently the factory is waiting for new material for the anodization process so it's on pause at the moment.

We will update once we have more information regarding any batch of the cases, and hopefully next update is good news and shipping starts. And I will try to nudge Jacky to provide update at least every two weeks so everyone could get the latest status since it's already delayed.

Hopefully this update gave the best transparency for this Group Buy and thanks for everyone's patience and understanding!

(Personally I'd wish to get a great QC'ed product than a defect one, so I'm really glad Jacky took the time to make sure the final finish of Piggy passing the high standard QC, but I also understood everyone's expecting to get the Piggy before Christmas and it's not likely to happen now

Unfortunate, but it's well intended!

Hopefully things get out before CNY. Losing February would be brutal.

From Jacky, some boards will start shipping on this Friday
Quote
30PC board and 15 white case

And we discovered that we are missing phone numbers for lots of orders (might be PayPal express check out option), which is required for international shipping.

Here is the form to provide your phone number for the order:
- It's the same form as previously, but added option "No, but I need to add phone number" for the question "Do you need to change address" and allow you to add phone number in next page.
- If you already filled out the form before and answered "No" to the question "Do you need to change address", please edit the result and we will see the change
- If you already filled out the form before and answered "Yes" to the question, no action needed!!!

https://forms.gle/PUgMtZ1mrbTtvpA88

If you have multiple orders, please make sure you find your first order with the base kit and that's the address we will be using.

Q: How to check my phone number on the order?
- Option 1: search email “jacky lab order confirmed”, click "View your order" button to verify if you have phone number showing up on the "Shipping address" section
- Option 2: go to https://jackylab.com// and sign up or log in with your email and find the first order (ignore other later orders since we will merge your multiple orders under same email into one shipment)

Q: I have multiple orders, do they get merged into one order for shipping?
A: If you have multiple orders, you can follow the option 2 above to check your first order.

Q: Can I just change default phone number of my online account on https://jackylab.com// and will it work?
A: The default address and phone number of your online account is for the future orders. For Piggy GB, please use this form to provide your phone number.
