I don't think CC follows that strict of a guideline. CC is an enigma and very random

$65 last year I saw some doubleshot skulls, some single colors, and some blanks

Although I'm pretty sure he won't give you anything less than a tri for $150

his prices are fine for what CC is about. or what CC stands for on here. i wouldn't pay for it. but that's me.

since you could say that the weed caps sold in this are the same pricing tier as blanks (based off of historical pricing), what changed to where the price of those caps has more-than doubled in three months? and even factoring in blind sale format?

sure, if he's consistent during cv with distributing blanks at $65, you could say it's just an updated pricing model. but if someone gets a rarer skull or ogre at the same price tier (already happened)- do you think someone that got a blank but was wanting one of those (as is likely to be expected of the $65 tier) is going to be happy? do you think the someone on the other side would be willing to trade their winnings straight-up for the blank? i don't think the average person would, which is why i say that price is getting a little out of control (yeah yeah, it's basically a marginal price difference in the end, but it's the principle).

I feel that there's two different arguments here - one is on pricing and the other is getting the blank key blind. I'd agree with you that getting the blank key blind is not ideal for many - myself included, as I'd rather have a skull. But pricing the blank at $65 is within his rights. This is not any other artisan key - this has the FXE or CF logo and is done with the quality expected of CC, thus my analogy of Picasso's napkin art. He has built a brand for his work, so even a basic key (well, this shimmering one is not basic, imo) should be priced higher than someone who started the business. And building a brand takes a lot of effort.
