Title: Automation help
Post by: heedpantsnow on Wed, 01 October 2014, 15:14:38
I've noticed that my cloud storage clients (Bitcasa, Onedrive, & Dropbox) use a significant amount of power and data when I'm working remotely. I don't need up-to-the-minute backups and syncing during the day.

I'd like something that automatically pauses or exits those services when I'm on battery, then resumes/syncs when I plug in my computer at night.

I'm using Win 8, and I can't seem to find anything that does this. Ifttt seems more mobile-centric. What ideas do you guys have for implementing this?

Afaik it won't kill processes based on the power source. Or did you have something else in mind?

I think you can make a autoit script that does the job. Heres the basics:

I have friend of mine I can ask.
