Nice green!  As toxic as I had imagined :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

They are SUPERB.  The colour choice and logos are sublime, this is certainly TOXIC and no one else can mistake that.

So glad I also bought into this key-set as well, because [CTRL]ALT can do no wrong with their designs  8) .

You will learn, young one ;)

Some consider $100 a reasonable price to pay for a single keycap (depending on the keycap, of course).

not I, $100 is too much for a single cap unless it's silver/gold/platinum

I think that price is for the younger newbs because no grown man will spend that amount of money for a single, plastic key-cap.  Just was never an enthusiast for Clacks or any other single key-cap, not that I tried to buy one or two but wasn't chuffed if I missed out on getting any.

What was more important is getting the whole key-set, especially any of [CTRL]ALTs unique designs.

I have to agree, I still don't get the appeal. Only artisan key I may spend more than 50$ atm is a Bro cap, or as little as 30$ if I knew there would no resale value in the event I had some buyers remorse. Binge's I would pay up to 50$ (depending on the cap) regardless of resale value considering the different materials involved and the designs, to me there seems to be a bit more variation/craftsmanship in his work. Overall I think we're on the same page, would prefer to drop 100+ of an SA keyset.

Back on topic I like the looks of this set so far! Will be my first DCS set

I think it's Melissa's camera that isn't representing the colour very well. I think in the flesh it will look quite a bit different to how it looks in these pictures.

Quite disappointed they didn't turn out as they were originally imagined in the mockup.

Not quite toxic enough for me, more a pale green.

However, I am still looking forward to seeing them in the flesh and amongst my setup

Quite disappointed they didn't turn out as they were originally imagined in the mockup.

Not quite toxic enough for me, more a pale green.

However, I am still looking forward to seeing them in the flesh and amongst my setup

That SkeleBro is Amazing

Yes indeed, I bet all the youngsters here suddenly came in the shorts when they saw it.

Who would of thought that you could put that much detail onto a tiny piece of plastic, amazing that he is making these pieces of art that are actually better looking than the original Click Clacks.

Extremely good work here and I'm not sucking up to get one either, leave it to the real hardcore addicts who seem more devoted to these type of key-caps.  Dare I say it that if they receive one of these you'll hear a shout of glee across their district when they look upon their new prize.

I am kind of intrigued as to why you think it is predominantly the younger generation on Geekhack who have an interest in custom key caps.

At the prices many artisan key caps can sell for in the classifieds, I would be more inclined to think they are often bought by professionals with a significant amount of disposable income. Either way, I think anyone can come to appreciate the craftsmanship and effort that is involved in producing custom caps.

I believe Elrick's thinking is that no "man" would be so naive as to throw hundreds at custom individual caps.
It does seem to be a young notion. Though you are correct in saying these youngsters wouldn't necessarily have the funds.
It's definitely a niche market. I think Bros are cool but I'm hesitant to spend so much on a single piece.
I do want that perfectly clear one, and Sifo's soul, however.

In regards to toxic. It looks really great!
I just don't like DCS any more though.
Someone buy my order. $235
