As far as updates go, we're going to have this in a matte finish. Also, *don't* quote me on this, but I wouldn't be surprised if this set was sub 90.

Thanks for the update! Guess I’ll be going with a full spacebar but at least that will look cleaner. A matte finish sounds interesting! Does that mean it’ll be textured or just have some different type of finish that makes it matte?

I won’t expect it but a sub $90 price tag would be amazing.

Definitely digging the hiragana on a SA profile. Of this could be made by SP it would be so dope (and it would be the first SA with new legend to my knowledge isn’t it?)

Yeah they’ve really upped their game which is nice to see. A competitive SA profile is really needed. Now they need to ensure their QC and maybe expand their kit options and we’ll really have a viable choice.

Maybe I’ll go bug Andrew again

The kit was updated on one of the more recent pages. I can understand why people would want it from SP but I think the lower price point and the quicker timeline outweigh the benefits of SP. Plus the base kit from Maxkey is pretty good for compatibility on more traditional layouts.

Sorry, but I can't change the kit now. Also, the mold fees would be exorbitantly expensive if it was just the one key.

I have not ruled out the possibility of a SP run later. However, such a run, if it were to take place, would be in the far future.

Saw the email! Super pumped! However, have you seen the new renders? The alphas especially seem really light compared to earlier renderings and the colours you were basing off of. Any thoughts on that?

Hey, I just looked at the renders on kono. (I was looking at the ones jan shared with me direct because I assumed they put those ones up) I'm sorry, I had access to a different version and I can absolutely tell you that that is not what the sets will look like.

These are the renders I was looking at:

They have updated lighting.

The flat render (kle render) is just to show which keycaps are in the kit. The 3D render arrows are how they will look in final product. Take a look at the Maxkey arrow legend for other sets and you’ll see that they’re the same as the 3D renders.
