In my search for my ultimate tactile switch since tactile switches are my favorites I would have to give it too ALPS SKCM browns. They use a plastic dummy plate to attach the tactile leaf unlike any other ALPS SKCM tactile switch which all use an a completely metal tactile leaf other than the browns. IMO, because of the plastic dummy plate it gives the browns a very special feel with a softer more rounded tactility than the others. Although the ALPS tactility is completely different from Topre or MX tactility IME. ALPS feel more like pushing through the switch, than over coming a centered or off centered bump like with Topre or MX.
I've tried pretty much all of the highly vaunted tactile mechanical switches out there too. ALPS SKCM - Neon Green, brown, orange, & salmon (never got to try undamped creams yet, but don't see them surpassing browns for me). MX - OG Holy Pandas, MD Holy Pandas, YOK Holy Pandas, Holy Skies, Zealios/Zilents V2 & V1 all weights, Outemu Skies, Cherry MX clears, Cherry MX tactile greys, etc. Topre - Leopold 45g stock domes before the factory change (many say these were heavier than 45g domes on RF, HHKB, & TH boards, more like a 50g dome), BKE redux heavy (what I am currently running in my 660C), & BKE redux extremes.
Take of my experiences what you will as YMMV since everybody's preferences are slightly different. Hopefully it gives you a decent range of switches to consider trying out though!
