I agree.  We have enough orders for good prices, let's do this thing.  No need to stretch it out.

There will always be people that miss out on directly participating in a GB.  And there will always be people that got in on the GB that are willing to sell on their sets.  This will not be changed by having a GB go on for months.

Still a bit sad about the lack of 1x plum blanks (I'm a broken record, I know), but that's mostly because I just don't see plum coming back in the immediate future. But then again, maybe I'm wrong, and plum will make a triumphant return the next time somebody organizes a spherical GB. Though to be honest, if the price tiers for 1x coffee blanks indicates anything, I could just order 10 1x plum blanks myself and still get a good deal...

I'm am happy about how speedy this group buy is progressing. I've always wanted to try out spherical caps, I love the color scheme, and this is as cheap as these caps are going to get, I suspect. Good work Matt3o and samwisekoi!

Matt may hook us up in Round Blue.  Some folks in EU are also hoping for language layouts for this color scheme, so I won't be surprised if those show up in the next round as well as "make up" sets or something.  :)

You could always find out the MOQ for the DSA 1x plum blanks from SP and run a mini group buy concurrently with this one.  Getting them made now increases the chances that the color matches (ex. Klaxon red not matching Red Alert 2.0 red).

Please note that when this GB will be over, it's my intention to tidy up the code and release the software under an Open Source License for everyone to use.

That is extremely generous of you. Thanks!

Matt3o, one thing to think about (you probably already are), is that, as of right now, the people who ordered Mod175 would pay less, in total per person, if you doubled all their orders than if it stayed at 8 orders.

Just as a clarification, the TKL set with all the modifiers comes with a long right shift AND and a 1.75 right shift?

Got me to put in an order, now - when will be the cutoff to modify an existing order?

you'll have a very short window to modify or cancel an order. Less than 24h. (actually the time that Melissa will take to confirm pricing next Monday and for me to do some math for the final kits cost :p )

You kind of got me scared, because I thought this would go for some time like Toxic has.  When you get the final pricing please wait for the payments to come in for at least 2 weeks (due to working pay cheques, coming in that time frame).

Everyone will have differing pay dates due to people working everywhere on this planet.  Hence bare in mind, that a two week deadline would be the shortest (most comfortable) payment strategy.

Matt3o at least discuss it with your partner.

- Monday new order freeze
- Tue/Wed edit/cancel freeze
- from there probably 1 week to pay

this is what probably will happen, but we are setting up the paperwork in order to not have the paypal account blocked. This might take some time that will give all of you more time to pay.

Call to Europeans
when this GB will be completed I'm going to set up a Pan European kit for this set. The DSA Retro EU Kit

The kit will include: DE, IT, SE, NO, FR, UK. And possibly others.

If you are interested in the Retro set consider that this might be your only chance to get a DSA set in your locale.

Note to UK users and people who ordered the Extra kit
I'm not yet sure if SP has all the molds for the Extra kit (waiting for reply from SP). If this is not the case we are going to remove the keys they don't have the molds for. In that case the UK keys will be moved to the EU Expansion kit.

That is a decent score! Too many awesome GB running at the moment
When I joined I was like "well 2 boards is enough"
Now I have 3 more coming and at least 4 keycap sets on hold
One does not simply fight off keyboard addiction!

Back on topic, Matteo I hope I can afford the French add on (gonna be a very limited run I guess!), I also feel like coming by to hug you, we are neighbor after all :)

we would like to make 1 set with all languages, it will be more expensive but all languages will meet the MOQ. Also I'd like to add a special key to the mix. Don't know yet what.

I also feel like coming by to hug you, we are neighbor after all :)

Well, it's required within 2 weeks max (9 days, if the 18th is the deadline for orders and money collection lasts a week). Will the pay check come by then? No? Then don't join. Simple.

Didn't see that small line! :)

Race DSA keys required
1x base
1x TKL plum
1x 1.5x mods for delete/escape (but no plum delete)
1x 1.25 mods for right shift (but no plum option)
1x 1.0x mods for  right Ctrl (but no plum option)
5x 1.25x blanks for up/down/left/right/End (but no plum option)

Still not doable in the brown/plum colourway. :(

I could imagine that some people are a bit drained until next paycheck after the couple korean boards + various key buys this month.

That being said, I'm totally ready for some crazy-ass retro keys.

Hey Moron......yes you I'm talking to.  This coming week is my payday, hence you don't need to worry you're little brain about when I will front up with the money.  Matt30 will get the moolah this coming 20th.

I thought of everyone else here, but I guess you don't give a toss about anyone else other than yourself....... typical of some selfish individuals.  But if you want to run a ONE Day Group Buy be my guest.

We'll see how many sign up to that one ........hehe.  :p :p :p

If he wants to call in the money next week ........17th to the 22nd of Feb he can, I'll deposit my paypal amount easily.  I get paid like most with company deposits into my Bank Account.  I just get use to mentioning "Pay Cheques" because I use to get paid that way in the early 80's.

Everything now is instant payment, unless you get Casual Rates and not on permanent contract.

that's another story, you need a server and some technical skills to install and use it though. I'd like to set up a server for everyone to use. No server, no skill needed.

Can I ask what international shipping will cost?

I'm waiting for confirmation from samwisekoi on that. I guess around $25

Thought that might be the case... That really adds to the cost of one set...  No chance of getting it sent with the Klaxon order from tjcaustin I suppose?!  (I know that won't be possible really lol)

Have to get deciding - just over 24hrs left!

Fair point - but the postage turns a £40 set into a £57 set...  That combined with payday being a week away means some hard decisions...
