Anodized? Is that possible?
Really like the case design, btw.
I really really like that Matte White
Glad you'vs swapped to a top mounted plate instead of tray mount
How is the white aluminium going to be achieved? I'm under the impression PEO gives the best results, but have no idea on cost/availability of it

I am curious to see how this is achieved as well.
Would love a white board.
Once the case design has been completed I will be contacting companies that can use the PEO process. If white is too expensive or is not possible, then another colour will be considered. What other colours would you like to see?
it's a thicc m65a

It looks very similar to the M65a, but I like how the case is a bit more curved in the renders. Plus, I would love that Matte White.
How about just leaving it uncoated? raw aluminum.
Stepped caps lock ? :)
Hoping for a matching numpad in the future as well!
I'm very much interested in this. If it gets a matching numpad in the future I'm definitely in!

I really want white but if it's not possible then I'd like to see bubblegum pink akin to how the Exent turned out - http://i.imgur.com/1wZfcFO.jpg

Is that a weight or an insert? Does it extend into the board more past the lettering? If not then i doubt it would qualify as a weight.
The lettering will be on a plate that will be on the inside of the case. Admittedly this is purposely not a large weight.
Personally, I'd prefer matte over gloss. If the matte black ends up like apple's version, I'd be very happy.
looks promising, sub'd for future updates

Can we get an explanation on what exactly makes this %100 luxurious? Is that more luxurious than other offerings out right now? On paper it seems like it would be very similar to other customs already in circulation.Quote- 24Carat Gold Plated (Copper Base)

Maybe this part? But I'd hardly think this would constitute a huge claim of luxury. This keyboard will support a Stepped Caps Lock Key!
I think this is an assumption for pretty much any custom board these days, if it didn't support stepped caps it just wouldn't make sense.

Oh, here comes the Luxury Inspector. Please adjust title to 96.85% luxury only.
Several users has questioned the “luxury” aspect of the kit, suggesting that it hardly differs from the quality of current custom kits and that there is nothing that deems this product as luxury.
The CU-75 is being marketed as a luxury product because capsunlocked believe it will be a luxury product.
No other kit designer considers offering gold or silver plated positioning plates. Custom kits are expensive, and capsunlocked believes that all components should be aesthetically pleasing, which is why capsunlocked will be offering customers the chance to purchase a PCB that matches their keyboard.
The packaging is also important to capsunlocked and will be developed and designed to meet the high standards.
capsunlocked does not see this as another keyboard kit, but aims for this to be an experience from the moment you unbox it.
This, and all future original products produced by capsunlocked will be luxury and this has already been proven as capsunlocked is the only retailer to offer 22Carat Solid Gold Keycaps (https://instagram.com/p/BSbx2BPlP4p/).
My only criticism is your lack of color options.
At the very least you should offer silver.
oh, maybe just me but i couldnt care less about the packaging....its going straight into the recycle bin.

Materials used are listed as Aluminum for the most part which is the most used material for customs, but I dont blame you for sticking with it. Is it a specific aluminum that is stronger? Maybe some other redeeming quality which will make it more appealing than other customs?
Extremely limited color options makes this kind of lack luster as well. Maybe offer something like Hard ano, or even just a wide array of coloring options.
Choosing between a black or white pcb, with glossy or matte options hardly seems like a truly luxurious option. Why not expand on the PCB design with something that separates you guys from the pack? Split space, USB-C, uncommon colors (gold, silver, clear, copper), etc.
Packaging is not grounds for a claim of luxuriousness. I do not plan on typing on the packaging. Unless of course, this is like a wooden, leather lined, bulky CASE. Or maybe a form fitted carrying case that i could travel with this board in.
And no offense, but that gold cap looks extremely rough.
Like i said in the original question, the only thing currently setting you truly apart from the pack would be the gold/silver plated plates. If those work out, then more power to you, but until you guys prove otherwise, this is still just another 75% that blends in with the rest.
Why not 65%?
Renders look fantastic but 75% is not for me. Why not 65%?
There are many IC/GB 75% keyboards, but this one has really piqued my interest. I really like the curvature of the bezels.
Between this keyboard, the xeno 75%, and LZ-CLSm, I'll have to do some thinking... (as well as stopping myself from murdering my bank account)
The PCB shows north facing LEDs and the Renders show South facing LEDS - is this part of the Luxury Experience?

DSA, SA and XDA are for plebs. Please show me a single GMK or EnjoyPBT set with 3u cap :p
There aren't that many sets run as group buys here that offer a 3U space though, are there?
I stand corrected. However, getting them is still quite a PITA.I sm for including both if possible.
On the other hand, most GMK sets provide 2.25u + 1.75u for Shifts and 2.25u + 2.75u for split spacebars, which I find to be a more reasonable and widely available option.
It appears the plate sits lower than the m65-a, which is a good thing IMO. Any renders with keycaps planned soon?
Is it a definite NO on the split space bar? Seems to be a lot of interest.

There probably will not be imho, this guy only really likes to respond to people with easy questions, or questions he can say yes to.
But there's gonna be STEPPED CAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not a 75% fan but damn, this is hot :thumb: :thumb:
I am really thinking of buying one

Unless there is more interest, there won’t be support for a split space bar.

How much more interest do you need? Most people responding to this thread have requested it. Dispute even broke out about the preferred layout.

Which layout would you prefer, 3u+3u or 2.25u+2.75u?
From the discussion it seems that 2.25u+2.75u is preferred.

This is a mistake and is already being addressed. There will be new renders coming soon.
Hey! I had a couple questions about luxury.
How do you verify that the keyboard is actually 100% luxury? What will we do if our keyboard has a lower percent of luxury than promised? Are we entitled to refunds in that scenario?
Sorry, just wanted to make sure I'd be getting my money's worth.
Thank you! :)
Interested. Would like to know the durability of the coating

3u+3u gets my vote, but i'm fine with either. PLEASE make it happen. Dont think people here care about price.
Do you not like North facing LEDS?
Do you not like North facing LEDS?
North facing switches have a clearance issue with GMK and ePBT caps. The caps will hit the side of the switch before the switch bottoms out. For 100% luxury, I think that GMK support should be mandatory.
ps. How much does the brass inlay 'weight' in the front of the case protrude into the case? I wonder how much weight it adds to the case.
For 100% luxury, I think that GMK support should be mandatory.
It doesn’t protrude to far into the case, as there isn’t much room on the inside due to the plate and PCB. I believe the weight of the Brass weight was estimated to be around 40g, in the rendering software.
- The colour options will most likely be as follows: Matte Black Aluminium, Polished Black Aluminium, and Raw Aluminium for those who want to colour their case on their own.Black, Shiny black, and Unfinished?
- Unfortunately there will most likely be one option for the PCB (Black with White Silkscreen).sigh
- Each kit will come with a sleeve, cable and cleaning cloth included.I do like this bit though, if you can follow through on this I'm sure it will be appreciated. Maybe even a custom CU embroidery on the sleeve?
Wait, where's the matte white color then?

Are you trying to limit the colors in this one to be all black? Is that the luxury aspect? Less options?
I understand you have unfinished as an option for people to get this anodized on their own, or if they like raw aluminum, but most people don't have the resources to get this re-ano'd. If you choose the Raw option will the price be reduced to account for the fact that they will need to ano this themselves? Will it ship sooner since they will not have to be sent off for ano?
The only way to offer a complete package is to restrict the colour options. Each new colour added means that a new option for the cable/sleeve/PCB has to be created.
The raw aluminium version will be slightly cheaper than the coloured versions
Look forward to the new renders . :thumb:

Why would all of them hve to be the same Color? Lots of people like contrasting colors to black, and offering up the option to change the case color, but keep the other options the same color seems like an easy way to make this more appealing to a lot of people.QuoteThe raw aluminium version will be slightly cheaper than the coloured versions

Really digging those new renders! Shame this isn't getting more attention, looks amazing!
I really hope matte/polished white is an option.
maybe i missed it, but is there somewhere a price range, or a an idea of the cost ?

Yeh I don't really get why people are being so snooty either =S
very interested in this, any chance of an ETA for when orders open? Not OP here, but there hasn't even been a prototype of the board yet let alone opening orders to us. I'm sure we'll get updates as they're available.
Depending on pricing, I'm likely in for 2, these look absolutely GORGEOUS :-X
Wow! This board looks great. Count me as very interested :thumb:

I am working to add the new layout as soon as possible. Thank your for the compliment.
For the split spacebar, which of the following configurations would be preferred?
1.25/1,25/1,25/2,75/1,25/2,25/1,5/1,5 or 1.25/1,25/1,25/2,75/1,25/2,25/1/1/1

Do you have a guesstimate of what it would weigh?
How much does it effect the pricing?
I like heavy things, but I'd probably be okay without a weight personally. Klippe has shown me that you don't need a weight to be plenty heavy :P.
TBH I think the weight would be more important for the plastic bottom, since you are losing a lot of metal there. With all aluminum it doesn't REALLY matter a whole lot.
It would also really depend on price. A $200 board with no weight is not big thing, a $400 board with no weight is harder to swallow.
Love the look of this, with rgb underglow it look pretty neat ;)
Case looks good, so if lack of weight is reflected in the price id happily go without.
Im super down for one of these provided theyre sub $300
Hope you have a sale soon, count me in.
Logo in the back for sure, leave the front nice and clean.
Would highly prefer no logo on the case
I'd prefer no logo as well.
Are we looking towards next year for a date when this is planning to run?
Here is the new CU75:
I like the new design with metal bottoms, but it's not even close to as nice looking with the acrylic bottom imo. the original was unique, I'm not actually sure I'd buy the new one (not that I don't like it, more just that it's not unique enough that I've got to have it. There are lots of options for a full metal case, I liked that it was focused on the acrylic bottom first).
I'm kinda sad you didn't go the other direction and figure out how to do the old design with a metal bottom under the acrylic, so it was like a metal case with windows. THAT would be sick.
Will there be an option for a full Aluminium bottom?
[edit] nvm: Original post explains bottom options :thumb:

So just to make sure, the first design with "pillars" is now ruled out, right?
