It was the so called second coming of the order thread way back when. Changdrew kept the orders open for a bit longer for some reason. I don't think there will be another group buy, but I am sure there will be people that are going to be selling their extras.

Not to me. I don't think he is going to. He has our money, it's been months. Don't think IMSTO received any order from him. And we can't file dispute.

Credit card users can file a dispute with their credit card company. For some it may not be 60 days yet. Even if it has, you can still try to file a dispute and see what they say. For the record, Chase has resolved a disputed transaction past the 60-day period for me in the past without any issue.

I really hope it hasn't come to this. But I will be filling a dispute with my credit card company. We'll see how it goes.

Edit: They didn't seem to worry about the time frame for both the original GB in March and the most recent one in May. I'll be getting two letters in the next 40 days with the second for me to fill out and sign confirming I did not receive my items.

Really disappointing.

Someone contacted imsto offline and he said changdrew didn't order anything from him.

I called Paypal. We are all pass the 45-day period. Paypal can't do anything at this point... unless you dispute the transaction with your credit card company or your bank (if you paid with direct transfer from your bank). I asked would then my bank reverse the payment from PP or the seller? He said PP. So that implies that if my bank/credit card company reserves the payment, PP will then go after the seller. They just wouldn't do it automatically after 45 days.

So go call your bank or your credit card company to reverse the charges. All of you, do it now!

We should file a class action suit against him, lol. I'm assuming the amount of money would make it a felony; I'm sure Saul would be willing to represent us pro bono!

Amazing how in just two days the tone has transitioned from him being a good guy and trustworthy to everyone disputing their charges, someone going to his house to "talk" to him, and taking him to court.

I don't blame you though, if I had ordered more than just a few keycaps I'd be really pissed myself. I'm just surprised it took this long. As it is, I care more about the principle of being ripped off than the small amount of money lost.

I can understand if he can't fulfill the commitment. That is fine, but at the very least, he need to responds to inquiries, email, and refund the money. By ignoring us and not refunding the money, no matter what excuses he has, he has decided to just keep the money. And all we can do is to dispute the charges.

Well, I got in late, so I'm not over the 45 day period. I filed a dispute, with this as the text:

Seller disappeared after collecting money for a group buy of keyboard keycaps that were never paid for. Contacted the supplier and no order for the keys was ever placed. Seller is nonresponsive via email or through the website the group buy was orchestrated on. Several other users are in the same boat, but likely past the 45 day dispute period. Guy is a thief.

Once all of this is all sorted out, I will run a group buy for these keys myself. That really pisses me off, and I'd like to remind everyone that just because it appears we have a thief, does not mean you can't trust other legitimate members of this community.

Well, making dispute later with my back (its my monday) . I am making a CMS for group buys to prevent this from happening. So much so, at the least two verified users need to be in the Group Buy, if one of them goes MIA. And it will make it easier to review your invoices, and have the money on an account that payees can see. and how the transactions where done.

I just need to pick the best Merchant. I might pick Cybersource. Unless everyone really wants paypal.

I'm not sure that's necessary. I don't know if you mean to require everyone to participate in it or not, but that doesn't sound like something I'm interested in. I prefer to do them myself, I run them my way without having to discuss/collaborate with anyone, and as such my group buys are the simplest, fastest, and most organized there are... so no I'm not interested in that, everyone knows by now that I'm no thief.

I concur, but we need ways to prevent this. And I am not saying it will be a requirement, only does that choose to use the CMS. And yes, you can make these as a one verified user purchaser. But in the case a person goes MIA, another can take place. MODs will have the firsts test at it.

One of the kool features will be polling and image uploads. But for the moment, these are thoughts. I think I will make a thread later. Need to head home.
