Figured I would make the snake photo legit with Flickr. I knew how to snap photos with manual settings on film SLRs (hell I could even process/print the film on pro equipment).

I need to learn more about DSLRs before I upgrade from white potato to sweet potato.

It's quite cute how small that looks, which is it?
It's Rotterdam. The first one was shot from the Euromast, an observation tower. Most of these buildings are not that tall from an international perspective (the tallest building in The Netherlands is a little over 160 meters tall) but the sand/clay soil makes it difficult and costly to build much higher.

Hahaha, I actually only smoked a bit of weed that weekend, I'm not one for dropping anything else tbh, doesn't appeal. Even the weed I regret a bit.

It was a fun weekend. But JC didn't turn up in the end. I think he was too sad after the result of the referendum...

Was at the grocery story today, and these huge 4ft tall birds (Sandhill Cranes) we have everywhere around here came
up to my car. They are hilarious. They will be out in the middle of the street stopping traffic.

I was going to wait for the Sigma Art 85 1.4 when they release/announce it (it's pretty much inevitable) but the 1.2 was a dream, and I did it.

Do Sigmas have better compatibility now? I had issues when I had a 20D and ended up just sticking to Canon glass.

Anyway, no red rings for me...maybe when I go full frame (if that ever happens haha) still using an EFS 17-55 2.8 that I've had it fixed twice now (stuck aperture and then stuck aperture + cooked IS).

Sigmas are much better now, considered to be as good or better than some OEM glass.

yeah

going to ring tomorrow and see if i can get a refund if not im ****ed out up to 8 weeks whilst canon fix it

Thx for asking iri. Went well. Not a vacation for me, I was teaching at a training center for Amazonian natives.

One funny moment...I was on the porch of the hut I was sleeping in and marveling at the noises of the colorful birds and wildlife. I said to the local guy, "It's like being in a pet store 24/7!" To which he replied, "yes, but these pets will eat you" hahaha.

Wow, very sorry that happened. It's frustrating when you get new gear and it's not what you hoped or breaks right off the bat. Hopefully they will come through for you with the warranty. My last Canon kit was a 10D and a handful of L's.
