Can you add any more details on this new PME housing? Who's the manu for this switch?

It is Polycarbonate Blend that is still a proprietary material compound mixture.

The manufacturer and i cant really disclose at this current time. May do in the future.

Ah gotcha.
Also no clue who Mechs & Co is other than that board Yoni was supposed to run with them until he chose to not work with them anymore.
I guess they've done a deskmat group buy so that's at least something. Seems to have just absorbed any and all keysets though :/ Slight concern there

Is there any force curve to see how it compares to other tactile switches?, how is the bump more like rounded or more snappy?

More information will be coming soon with force curves of springs etc.

I can tell you that the bump is a nice rounded bump up top that continues for most of the down stroke.

Can you provide a datasheet or the full chemical name of PME? Curious about the material as I haven't heard of it before.

    so like a U4T stem?

    other questions:
    • does it bottom out on the rails or on the stem pole?
    • actuation and total travel distances?
    • your description says a linear force curve spring but the image says progressive, which is it?

Very interested in what PME is all about and how it's different from Polycarbonate, Nylon, and POM when it comes to housing materials. Also interested in the sound profile as well.

when they say linear i believe theyre talking about the spring, the switch/stem is tactile. heres a graph from sprit that shows the different types of springs (that he sells at least) https://www.spritdesigns.com/mx?pgid=jlv17iwk-d78fac7d-26d1-479d-9b28-c6b225b3b5b4

      - Bottom out is on the stem
      - Am getting graphs for this as soon as possible and will update
      - Totally missed this, its a linear curve spring, will change image

How accurate are the renders in terms of the stem? That looks like a pretty wildly different shape from anything I've seen, is that just due to rendering capabilities or is this how they'll actually be shaped?

That render may be slightly exaggerated and does not reflect the final product, i will have stem images soon :)

Was not meant to add dates. Still TBC
      Ah gotcha.
Also no clue who Mechs & Co is other than that board Yoni was supposed to run with them until he chose to not work with them anymore.
I guess they've done a deskmat group buy so that's at least something. Seems to have just absorbed any and all keysets though :/ Slight concern there

Mechs & Co is a newer vendor but Patrick, Mike, Chris, and the rest of the team are nothing but professionals.
