Looks like a great tasting Jwaz! Some friends of mine did one recently, had some good stuff - I think the Maple Bacon Coffee Porter & BCBS Coffee side-by-side with Mocha Wednesday were the standouts of the night.

Sooooooo when are you guys coming to WI so we can do this??  O.o

   Welll..... maybe soon?     If I take a road trip that way I'll pack my car full of some New Glarus beers. 

I'll meet you halfway - that way we both get to road trip! I need to get out of this state more often anyway... will come packing Alpine, Ballast Point, Stone, Bruery & maybe RR. Or we could just do a GH CA meetup

Apparently Colorado is the best place to go brewery touring at least from a general consensus amongst my friends.

A good rule of thumb, is that most Rogue beer tastes pretty bad. Occasionally they have a hit, but more misses.

So Triblade was so gracious to send me some Russian river beer.

First up for the taste test is Pliny the Elder



I Love the simplistic look of the bottle and the glass on this thing is thick as hell.


The color and smell are amazing. It has a great citrus floral smell but not that strong orange peel smell most IPAs have.



 A fantastic beer! It starts off with a strong hop taste like most traditional IPAs but then tapers off into a nice smooth citrus after-taste that makes you want to take another sip.

9/10 - this may be one of my favorites.

Thanks to tribade's incredible generosity, I was also lucky enough to receive a shipment from him.   

There were a few Pliny the Elder's, which were absolutely amazing (had a couple already), as well as a couple each of some others.  Seriously, this was an amazing sampler pack to receive in the mail and I'm incredibly thankful and forever indebted.
