Does anyone else use the Austere theme (white)? So much better than the standard theme. No wonder why people think this is a l33th4x0r forum.

(Attachment Link)

Austere is the best theme.  Some people are misguided and think Nostalgia is, but it's okay we're all wrong sometimes.   :-*

I use Thoriated and like it.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

I mean, I do, but you decadent Westerners usually don't.

I'm yet to meet a Canadian who keeps shoes on in the house.

Fall asleep every night watching tv in bed.  It has become habit for me.  Probably terrible to do but oh well.

Stay up late Sunday night because you are dreading to come into work on Monday.

I regularly watch TV before going to sleep but I turn it off when I get tired and start falling asleep

The difference is that I can load Geekhack pages. Unlike MySpace in 2002.

Does anyone else like listening to music with a slightly higher pitch?

Here's a great website which lets you make on-the-fly pitch changes to songs you upload. Fun to listen to. You can even keep the tempo the same as the original song.

Only thing missing is an encrypted connection.

I prefer more bass.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

You can pitch-shift locally using Audacity (tutorial here).

I used this once to make myself sound like an elf for a parody song I made.
