QMK Sucks! - Why I prefer Kaleidoscope

Good news for you:it is possible to use the standard text terminal tools after all and develop key-maps on familiar IDE - something I discovered on the discord. Still prefer Arduino for myself having tried both, and of course lots of people fork the repo if they wish to work on the code. Some developers base their preference on the programming language: C (I think for QMK, C++ for Kaleidoscope.

Good to know. I admit I used QMK only back in 2020 so it is good to hear it is still being developed since then.

Not to be argumentative, but VIA did exist back then. It wasn't quite as universal, but a project not having VIA support would be "unusual" at that point IMO. VIA originally launched - I believe - in 2018?
