Archiss I-T Touch (aka Leopold FC200R) Tenkeyless Blues LNIB
« on: Mon, 21 February 2011, 02:57:31 »
I have a basically brand new Archiss I-T Touch Tenkeyless (AS-KB87C) with Cherry MX Blues for sale. All packaging, dust cover, usb->ps2 adapter, red esc key, keypuller, usb cable, included--everything in LNIB condition.

Had it only a couple of days, and I really haven't used it for more than an hour or so. Bought it to try Blues, and it turns out they're not for me.

This is the rebranded version of the Leopold FC200R that folks are excited about, sixty took some pics of the same thing here: http://keyboardporn.com/mx-switch/leopold-fc200r-sample/

I'm asking 146.50 (exactly what I paid a couple days ago) + shipping. Prefer CONUS but I'll at least consider sending it elsewhere.

I believe the Leopolds that are coming have logos on the front edge, but this one is stealth and has no logos at all. Very nice. Also better lasered keycaps than the Filco pads.

First Archiss/Leopold I've seen on these forums.  Shouldn't be too hard to sell!

Hey I have the same exact model, except in browns. If blues aren't for you, would you like to do a trade? I ordered mine maybe 3-4 weeks ago but I haven't used it much. I have the dust cover and everything you listed, including the red archiss esc key.

So if we trade we can just keep the accessories and trade the keyboards?

Contact me if you're interested, I went to the NE SC2 Lan and tried some blues. I really like the click :)

** Oh and I bought it using j-goods ems service. Came out to about $150-160 as well

The Archiss's keycaps are slightly thicker than the Filco's......so they feel a little different. Vintage mode or not...

The Archiss/Leopold keycaps are lasered, _slightly_ thicker than the Filcos, and have more texture in comparison with the very smooth finish on the Filco caps. They do seem to lack the columns on the four corners of the keys, so they end up looking sort of like a thicker PLU key from the bottom.

They're not as nice as the black Cherry DS keys I robbed off of a G81-7000, but definitely nicer than the Filcos.

overvu - I'm actually interested in that, I would definitely prefer the brown version. How worn are your keys? shiny spacebar at all?

Would be awesome if we really exchanged.

The keyboard is pretty much in mint condition.
As far as I can tell it is just like I got it.

The key caps are not worn at all, and the space bar is still matte, not shiny.

**This was my first mechanical keyboard and I spent quite a bit of money on it.
I was inclined to keep it in good condition

Why would someone pay you that price if he can get a BNIB one for the same amount of money without your fingerprints/scratches on it?
Nobody knows, but good luck anyway.

Because these aren't easy to get in America? (yet) There's also the wait time for international shipping via Airmail.

I love Germans.  Always so polite.

He's got a good point, though. Keyboards are a depreciating asset, not an investment. They start going down in value as soon as you drive them off the lot---sorry, mixing my metaphors here. To me, that's worth at least 10-20% off of full retail price, even if it is in "perfect, mint, supremely excellent condition" (my words, not the OP's).

Matt

Actually Economists would tell you replacement cost is what's relevant here.

Try buying one through an agent and tell me the numbers you get.

At least the on-screen keyboard sounds clicky, like blues :)

As overvu is alluding to, this has been traded to him, for the matching board in browns :)

Closing thread.
