Compaq 11800 - Sold!
« on: Fri, 01 April 2011, 18:40:38 »
Thought I'd give the Brown Switch a try, I don't like it myself, so getting rid of it and going back to Blues. This keyboard also has a trackball, which is in full working order, I've given it a clean with antibacterial wipes, and it all works fine, just not the switch for me. PS/2, naturally.

Asking £SOLDposted to the UK!

UK only for now, might go global at a later date if it doesn't sell.

I have 100% feedback on both Overclock.net, and eBay, under the same alias (SmokinWaffle)

:)

Hi, SmokinWaffle
Does it contain two window keys?

Cheers

Nope, as you can see it has no window keys on the keyboard itself, just larger "Alt" and "Alt Gr" keys. You could re-map them, I guess.

Thanks for your informative reply.

It's shame I  am mainly using an OS X system, will need both "Alt" and "Windows"keys.
"Alt" keys  are needed for short-cuts,  and "windows" for remapping as "cmd".

The Browns are so tempting though.
Wish you will meet its proper buyer soon.

On my Model M I use ALT as CMD, CTRL as Option and CAPS as CTRL

I've got rhe same and it's very nice board, the trackball is a little bit too tiny though.
And it works flawlessly on my mac or linux  computers with a 2xps2 -> Usb dongle.

The trackball is a little weird coming from a mouse, as I run 2560 x 1440, it's not the fastest way of doing things.

Anyhow, it's currentley pending.
