moo keycap?
moo keycap?
So something that says "moo"? I always thought about a hiragana text novelty but was never sure it would fit the set. Perhaps as an artisan collab
can the steak novelties have more marbling to better fit the wagyu theme?

I actually experimented with marbling on the steak, but the pattern looked bad/off due to having to meet a minimum width. I will likely revisit this in the form of a collab artisan, maybe a 'meat' silicone swirl from Rama.
Please consider a hiragana legends only kit and icons only kit. ;D
I know it might look a little odd, but perhaps color matching to steak could look good. Maybe a deep oxblood maroon color with a slight off white for the legends.
ah yeah that's true, Jamon is pretty darn close to what I described. Maybe a more purplish-red oxblood without having different colored mods. Very pale pink, near white legends could also help to differentiate the set.I know it might look a little odd, but perhaps color matching to steak could look good. It would need to be different enough from Jamón, which is a direct inspiration for this set, but I agree this might be interesting. I realise you got 2moons’ blessing before running this set, but given that GMK JIS also supports ANSI-JP with hiragana sublegends and is white on black, it might help differentiate this set to have just a little bit of colour in it, even if it’s subtle.

Your kits look good otherwise. Although, you may want to include two 1.5u System/Super/Command keys in the base kit for Mac and OG HHKB bottom row users. These keys are more commonly used/request than the 2u Shift and numpad 00 you currently have in the kit.
In keeping with the icon mods aesthetic, you may also want to change the R3 1.75u Control key from text to a ∧ icon. This has the potential to look cleaner since the text can look out of place when surrounded by icon-only mods from the top and bottom. See here (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=107383.msg2930291#msg2930291) for a comparison. Here are a few examples of sets that use the icon legend: 1 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=108422.0) 2 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=108795.0) 3 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=108867.0) 4 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=108594.0).
I agree that it would be great to have 1.5U Super/Code/Command keys. I'd consider another crack at the marbling on the steak, because I, too, don't really see it as wagyu.
Hi there, please consider using the correct sublegends on the 0)をわ and -_ほー keys. They should look like this:

Hi! I took some time to think about your suggestions!
Regarding the change to the hiragana, I have researched a bit and reached out to Hineybush who did GMK βeta. The molds are public so there should be no issue in using them! I will be updating the renders soon in a week 1 update. As I was researching I also found that some hiragana sublegends have the "¥" symbol on the \ keys. It seems it is not very important and its basically up to the designer's choice. For me I'm indifferent so I will probably add it into a poll. Would be interested on your thoughts
I think I will put the suggestion for x2 1.5u dot/super replacement into the next feedback.
I do not like the look of the "^" icon replacement so I will lean towards using "control". I haven't seen a render with it and I'm not entirely sold :(
Thank you for your feedback so far! Much love!
can the steak novelties have more marbling to better fit the wagyu theme? We at least need to hit MBS 8.
can we get a moomoomoo rama?
This set is atrocious. Japanese culture being used as an accessory and fetishistic at best. So much missed potential to use red keys and off-white sub legends to represent the meat and marbelling respectively. The novelties are also very tacky, and don't really provide anything of note.
Feels more like the set is riding off the trend of people eating わぎゅう and less so a genuine attempt at a set. Disgusting, to say the least

Intro
This set features the classic WoB with Hiragana sublegends with GMK icon mods and novelties inspired by the “Japanese Black” cattle breed, known for being a wagyū breed.Kuroge Washū directly translates to “Black Cow” in English.
Novelties Inspo
For the novelty design, I am taking inspiration from the 'Japanese Black' cow breed most well known for being one of the four wagyu beef breeds. Its pitch black hide is the perfect match for the set!Kuroge Wagyū directly translates to “Black Cow” in English.
I decided to use an onion and mushroom because they are served grilled at Teppanyaki orcooked in a hotpot with the shabu shabu style.

TN: Kuroge Washū literally translates to "Black Haired Japanese Breed." Washū is a more scientific term that consumers will generally not use to describe the animal or the beef.QuoteNovelties Inspo

TN: Kuroge Wagyū is known as THE Wagyū, as the other breeds pale in number (Kuroge Wagyū is >90% of all Wagyū.) -- Kuroge Wagyū is not famous for being one of the breeds (as majority would not even know there are several breeds). The other Wagyū breeds also have different characteristics, Kuroge Wagyū beef the one that many associate with the taste of Wagyū.QuoteI decided to use an onion and mushroom because they are served grilled at Teppanyaki orcooked in a hotpot with the shabu shabu style.
I decided to use an onion and mushroom because they are served grilled alongside Wagyū at Teppanyaki.
TN: Unfortunately, white/round onion is not a common ingredient in (Japanese) Hotpot, Shabu-shabu, nor Sukiyaki. The onion that is the staple for these are the Japanese leek, also known as the Green or Spring Onion. (Not scallions.) On the other hand, while Gyūdon, or "Beef Bowl," doesn't have mushrooms, but have white/round onions. as its main ingredient.

Hey just wondering in regards to Space Cables, will it be on their old website that you linked? Or rather their SpaceHoldings domain?
The new designs are nice but I personally prefer the old ones. I praised the inclusion of 2 1u spacebars before and would be very disappointed to see one go. Personally these changes put me from a locked in yes to a probably no, but I might be alone there. Thanks for the update.

I'm curious, is it because the design went from a minimalistic vibe to a more animated one? The old designs were a bit stiff and wasn't really cohesive in design. So with the new novelties I hope to bring it all together while also including some more marbling with this new style for the steaks (highly requested).
Regarding the spacebar kit, I dropped down to only 1x 1U to still provide support for some Alice boards (bear 65%, which I bought!). It is to my understanding that 2x 1U is mainly for othro keyboards and I do not have a 40% kit.
As for novelties I don’t see what motivates the cartoon art style at all. The colours and typography are clean and refined. Wagyu beef is a gourmet attraction so the more mature art style seems like a better fit than a cartoon art style. If this was a set about candy or something I’d get it but not for a cut of meat that costs the same as the gmk set based on it.+1
