"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Keypop sells boxes that use foam instead of layered cardboard. They kinda suck though. I just use one of those and two boxes that came with my EnjoyPBT sets

Dat idea... I always used Rocher containers to store trading cards, but to use it for caps seems also great!

I don't think they are too bad, They hold a decent amount of keys and they really stop stuff shifting around.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

A little expensive, but I use this box from Sortimo called the T-BOXX for my Arduino stuff (https://www.instagram.com/p/25SjdFtG1w/). It's this amazing modular box that you can put different sized inserts in (which are different colours) and they slot into this modular grid in the base, so you don't even have to have all the inserts in for it to not slop around when closed. http://www.sortimo-shop.com.au/t-boxx.html Think I'm going to pick up another one with purely red inserts to use for keycaps http://www.sortimo-shop.com.au/t-boxx/stb321a.html . I LOVE THESE BOXES. Made in Germany too!

In the past I found it impressively difficult to meaningfully restructure the OSX filesystem layout beyond the /Users space.  Now, the popular BSDs on the other hand...

Then again, I haven't used OSX in a long while.  Maybe if someone releases a usable tiling window manager for OSX I'll reconsider.  :p

Yeah dude, there are heaps of clones out there, check out this one:
http://www.harborfreight.com/19-bin-portable-parts-storage-case-93928.html?hftref=cj

That company makes different sizes of case too. Not sure if it's modular like the Sortimo(as in the different sized inserts)... but it's $8!

The douchebag-method: buy additional keyboards to put spare caps on and store the keyboards. Helps you get rid of your money easily.

Whenever I buy a set I keep the box they came in. But then I never buy bagged.

Mine are just in ziplocks on the floor...

Oooops, sorry that I didn't know about that.
I am just curious about whether u guys are interested in those boxes, cuz actually I am selling those boxes in China :p

Your boxes suck.

The keys for my HHKB keep falling out.

they look a lot like the stock topre/hhkb keycap boxes, what's happening with these ones? do they not have a top solid piece of cardboard to keep the keys in place?

They keep falling out and getting mixed up.
