10th Anniversary RF87U 55g with XX7 artisan cap. The Miami color scheme complements the board better than I would have expected.

Very nice :)

Hey did anybody else get in on the recent MD drop for 87Us? It's where I got mine, and this is the first RF that I've used (I've had 5 previously) that doesn't have the play/looseness in the case. It makes this board feel unbelievably rock solid.

I got 3, never had any play/looseness. Always the good old TANK feeling from that brand. ;)

Nice gradient there! The oxblood looks really great!
The artisan ctrl does't fit for me, but if you are happy then it's all good :)

Novatouch sliders indeed. Had to use some costar stabilizers to get the spacebar on. Which means my Alt is smaller, and there's a small gap between it and the blank keys at the bottom, the only flaw doing it like this. I'm also missing the white pipe/backslash row 1 keycap. I have it in grey for some reason, but not white. Hopefully I can find someone to trade with :)

Had to drill out four holes for the shift and return stabilizers. Not particularly pretty as I had misaligned one. The holes need to be there not only for the stabilizers, but also for the keycap stems to fall into when the key is pressed.

Ignore the keycaps in the above two photos; they're just on there for test fitting.

My HHKB isn't silenced anymore since I left all the silencing mods on the Topre sliders, which are now in the Novatouch. That board looks like a mutt right now  :)) I'm trying to find a set of Realforce blue keycaps to put on it, as I have mint green keys on the top and right MX stemmed rows. It's my girl's board now, so have to make it look pretty :)

Seriously an awesome overhaul, dood!!! I commend you for the bravery and hard work! i don't know if I had the balls to drill into my HHKB... breaking out the stems to replace with silent Purple stems was initially scary enough for me!!! Hehehe ~

Please do! Wanna see more pics of your boards.

I love watching your vids on youtube. Actually influenced some of my decision to buy which board.
Please feed my addiction.

I'm happy to have been part of the process ;)

Hopefully there were no buyer's remorse in anything I had an influence on :))

Nice board and nice caps!

Translucent caps are hard to capture. You need better lighting for trans caps ;)

Hell no.

I bought a white Filco (that I don't use at all now) just cause I like how it looks like with Penumbra set like yours.

Also convinced myself to transplant 55g domes to my Type-S cause your video captures it best.
Please feed my addiction.

You're fabulous, bro <3

You can always join the clacktalk club and buy another one. HUE... and then sell it... and buy another one couple months later... rinse and repeat :)) OR, you can just keep it. hyuk hyuk ~

I'm sure you won't regret the Filco or any of the HHKB's. They are both gems, bro. GEMS, I SAY!!! The White Filco Club is a special one!!! Ghostjugg above also has one too! We cool, baby. We cool ~~~

Also glad to hear you have a 55g Topre in the mix. Always good to have diversity. Switching keyboards is all part of the fun. Makes it so it never gets boring.

Thank you for your compliments on my videos. They really aren't of the best quality but I try to capture the sound as well as I can... (I'm only using the microphone that's built into my camera LOLOL!!!). I should really invest in a better microphone.

Seriously an awesome overhaul, dood!!! I commend you for the bravery and hard work! i don't know if I had the balls to drill into my HHKB... breaking out the stems to replace with silent Purple stems was initially scary enough for me!!! Hehehe ~

Wish I could see, hear, and feel it in person!

Thanks!

One of the nice things about this mod is I can still revert back to the original sliders. Drilling doesn't cause any kind of incompatibility with the old ones. And the Novatouch stabs are a direct snap-in replacement for the standard ones. 100% reversible. You know, minus the holes.  :))

I am using costar stabilizers though in order to fit the 6.25u spacebar. Luckily, the topre cutouts appear to be the same size as mx cutouts. You can snap a cherry MX switch into them, so getting the stabilizers in was a cinch. I'm even using the same stabilizer wire that's typically underneath the HHKB plate, although it rubs slightly in one spot. I'll eventually get a slightly longer one so I can get a small bend in to prevent that. Its not hurting anything, except for my OCD knowing its there. Not a single rattle however!

Ooo ~ Thank you for this information. It's definitely very insightful information!!! I always thought the larger stabilized keys will be an issue but you have told me otherwise! Glad to know that this is doable option if desired.

I'm with you on the OCD part though... I'd definitely be feeling it too. HAHA!
