« on: Thu, 16 June 2016, 00:06:37 »
Hi All

Does anyone know if keyboard community is still alive, I have ordered some stickers from them about week ago and have not heard anything back from them.
I have tried emailing them twice but no reply ?

cheers

The keyboard community is alive and well. Many operate and communicate through geekhack, but there are many (members here, too) who are active on deskthority, Reddit, and Slack as well. The keyboard community is filled with a bunch of great people!

I actually thought this was a sarcastic comment about the state of Geekhack  :))
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Me too :))

Since when has [CTRL]ALT been known as Keyboard Community?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
