No micons? They've got them going for Godspeed figured it shouldn't be a hard integration.

I made it using an Olivetti Lettera 32 as reference. Hope you like them.

No. They don't match this font and I'm not going to duplicate kits.

Disheartening to see the ergodox modifiers are function-specific instead of being generic keys - like with the Oblotzky's assembly kits.

I don't like those ones. There are plenty of non-specfic keys that you should be able to fill most of the layouts with them.

Will think about it. I don't want to make a humongous Ergo kit, but maybe I could add some text arrows.

I'm mostly okay with the keys you've chosen. But I find R3 tab to be an odd choice over an R3 control.

However, seeing that there are very few "standard" ergodox layouts that people use (as many users prefer to make their own layouts to suit their own needs) - something along the lines of the novelty legends might make more sense, and reduce the amount of keycaps required for the kit.

A cost reduction and general compatibility increase while keeping the aesthetic is a win/win/win in that regard.

Are these alphas the same color as gmk serika? They seem a little warmer but that could just be the renders.

As much as I’ve typed gmk you’d think it wouldn’t autocorrect on mobile.

That's just the renders. We are color matching the plastic as close as we can to the GMK set. Once I have samples, I'll adjust the renders.

I feel pretty much the same way. I'd take generic/novelty legends over not having the right keys covered (like what godspeed MT3 did). Bottom row arrow keys are pretty universal though.

I'm definitely not a fan of that approach of using novelties for a modifier kit (when the rest of the kits use "standard" legends). I get why you'd want that, but I don't like it.

The rest of the set would have normal legends and the Ergodox would have some random ones instead. It wouldn't be consistent IMHO.

Yea I understand wanting to stay consistent. The issue is trying to cover even most of the ergo layouts out there would make the kit pretty large & expensive. I don't mind dealing with inconsistency since no kit will ever fully cover my layout, and it'll be inconsistent anyway. So personally I'm okay with either blanks or novelty legends.

Use this thread to complain about something missing. Like R2 1.75 backspaces on the 40s kit.

I can’t imagine having so much ****in salt built up that you literally exclude 1 key from a set every single design you come out with.

You all need to get together and sing Kumbyah already...this is just stupid.

I will ask T0mb3ry if it's possible to add some salt novelties.

Again, they were renders.  But you’ll never be able to see past that, will you?  You, Olb, and T0mbry all need to check your egos at the door for once in your lives.  You link a post about screwing community members, but the only ones screwing people are you guys by excluding keys for certain boards.

Your set, you do what you want, but I’m just saying you guys should just come together already and hash this stuff out so everyone in the community wins instead of being divided and being driven further apart...
