If you're certain you want a large order, you could use something like PayPal's Credit, where you get 6 months to pay off purchases over $99 until you start to pay interest. 6 months from now is the timeframe you're interested in.

I‘m most certainly gonna join this! One question: the blue color in the samples looks a little more „vivid“ than in the renders. I think in the second last post in the IC thread, you didn‘t mention the blue: is the color correct already? I just ask because to me, the blue in the renders looks slightly more „muted“, which I‘d like a little more.
It's always hard to get colors rendered perfectly. I think they are close enough to give you a realistic impression of what the set will look in real life. The actual color samples from the photo is pretty much final. I'll sleep on it once or twice again but I think I'll give CK the green light on Monday.

Yep, Colemak and Dvorak can be seperated, but I didn't due to MOQ concerns. 100 x 99$ is more likely than 100x 59$ and 100x 79$ or something like that.

Dang I hadn't been checking up on the numbers but a lot more of the kits are struggling than I thought for such a beautiful set like this. All of these GMK sets coming out at the same time is looking like a problem. Think I'm going to sacrifice Base Kit and Symbols so I can join Assembly/40s/Cherry Icons since those are struggling.

2. Some kit reach higher MOQ, drops in price
3. When drop ends, PP is being charged. Since the initial amount reserved is not the same as the final amount, paypal will cancel it.
It's a issue with paypal and massdrop cant really do anything about it.

As this was a MassDrop exclusive, you'll most likely never see this run on any other website. Maybe if they do an R2 in a couple years, you may see it other places, but definitely not this go.
Your best bet is look for MassDrop to do one of their re-caps and pick up your missing kits then. No guarantee when that will happen though.

Most likely not, best chance to find/score a set if it refuses to go thought would be /r/mechmarket/. Though typically you pay a hefty premium.

Massdrop prices on mm usually stay fairly low compared to other GB runners because of the quantity of sales.

Honestly its paypal they look good on the outside but noticed there a lot of little quirks with there service, that make it kinda crap. Like technically using it for a group buy is not allowed via TOS thought you can ask them to make exception. There is also there buyer protection which looks good on paper. Then if you use it open a dispute after 30 day's if you don't escalate it. Which gives someone the chance to manipulate the situation. Then get off the hook with out having to deliver. I am not saying that happens a lot but does open up possibility cause most people want to get the product. Then it closes out and there is no longer any buy protection. Then there are little things like this were they will deny changes. Most likely at random. As I am sure there are plenty of people that use paypal that have the transaction go thought with out a hitch.

It seems like it’s an issue with massdrops implementation of the PayPal api. Basically they are preauthorizing a specific amount. The price changes so when they go to process the charge it fails cause the amount they are asking for doesn’t match the authorized amount.

Used Massdrop a dozen times and never had an issue. Usually always pay with PayPal with items that have had multiple drop points in the prices along the way. Never once have I had a "payment issue". If there are multiple people that have experienced this issue with this drop, then why are we basically $#!& out of luck..? I sent in a few customer support requests and the only responses I've gotten are the auto generated "we're busy and will get back to you soon", "We're looking into the issue and we'll get back to you soon", and "they've placed the order with the vendor and there's nothing they can do, hit request and hope that it drops again if ever". Sorry just unbelievably frustrated and needed to vent. They finally got back to me, orders been sent already and there is nothing that can be done. I don't think its a massdrop issue, its easy to blame massdrop but truthfully think its crappy paypal. Paypal most likely flags random accounts when there any type of price change.

Hey Oblotzky, do you happen to know what the pantone equivalent for the gray modifiers is?
It's color matched to SP's GD code, so no idea what Pantone might be closest to it. RGB would be about 99/105/106, so slightly cold as the red component is reduced.
In other news, work behind the scenes is going great. The first legends will already start having their legend plates carved for this week!
GMK renders for production for Base Kit and Symbols have been green-lit, rest to come soon. Alphas took a bit of tweaking but I'm very with them now

Yeah, don't worry. GMK is not so precise when it comes to color accuracy in renders. I've seen way worse. What matters is the actual color samples I hold in my hands, and those are perfect!

What do you mean? This set was on track since the GB closed, we then sat down to work on the production renders and make sure everything is good. GMK has a lead time of about 16 weeks for any keyset so we had plenty of time to make sure everything is right. I now stated that this process has concluded and next step is starting production whenever it is time for our turn.

Problem with SA was there backlog was like over a year for production. I mean there were some caps sold in like April/may that won't be finished till like January/February or later next year. I think a lot of people don't want to take that kinda wait/risk on as group buy runners. People buying in don't want that sorta risk either. A lot can happen in a year

I can't really comment on that. The shipment has to go through US customs, then inspected by the warehouse staff and if everything checks out they'll start packing and shipping out the orders. I have no idea how long that process takes, so I would just keep expecting it for early Jan

I would love the yellow ISO RETURN key and a space bar for ISO if that was possible anyway?
The set did not offer any yellow keys, only gray and blue ones.

The description says "[GB] GMK Space Cadet, CLOSED, production finished, photos on page 4." I don't see R2 there so i assumed this is R1?
