Hi everyone, I sincerely hope that everyone is doing great and that you’re all safe at home! 

It’s already been one year since my first group buy started today so, I think it’s a good opportunity to make another one.

Let me introduce you to my new set being EnjoyPBT Spectrum :  https://enjoymy.gallery



As you can all see, this set is a mix of white alphas with CMYK modifiers. This idea came from my love for from OG keysets + CMYK Add-on, something that you guys can recreate, this set is definetly a tribute to that iconic combination:



Okay, I heard you guys, you wanted more compatibility, full white modifiers etc, so here we are with new kits for the set !

The kits are now the following :



The base kit offers great compatibility by covering the standard ANSI layout, Tsangan, HHKB, and WKL.




I decided to add full white modifiers as you guys asked, aswell as alice support with an extra B in the kit.

- Yes, this is better as an extra kit and I don't want to have white modifiers in the base kit.
- No 2.U shift ? No because no.
- Will it be expensive ? No.



You guys were right, the lack of orange spacebars was definetly something I could fix so I added them aswell as colored arrows and alice spacebars.



Numpad support for the many people that messaged me about it, so here it is.




Finally, the ISO Kit. I really didn't want to put this kit in my set but the ISO community was so nice to me that I couldnt refuse.
However I don't offer Norde support at least for this round (unless something crazy happen).


Color matching won’t be an issue because these colors already exist, I chose them from stock GMK colors but this set will actually be Dyesub PBT and not Doubleshot ABS :

I would prefere to not to because IMO that set is already close to some sets that exist (Minimal, Bleach...) + it would kill the concept of the set.
Unless everyone is asking for it, it's most likely a no !

I too would like to see this. If we could have all white + colored mods, this would be an easy buy. To be honest it's already an easy buy, but this would be cherry on the top. I'd pay a bit more if you could include all white mods.

Set looks good. One related thing though; you might want to adjust the contrast for the text on your website.

It’s pretty hard to read in places and anyone with anything but perfect vision will struggle with white on yellow or yellow on white text.

I have few suggestions...

My guess is you would sell more kits if the modifiers would be sold as separate kit, as many people, including me have several white kits already for the alphas.

I like the cyan enter but I feel the escape key should be same color for the better mix and mach combinations with other sets.

If the kit is sold as one big set. Should the backslash key be white in the base kit as it belongs to alphas?

This is personal preference, I would like to see text and symbol style legends on all modifiers as they look more OG (as seen in the pic)

I doubt that looking at how people are falling all over themselves to buy black on white pbt keycaps on the secondary market. If this were to split it would be flooded with people trying to buy a WOB base kit, far out numbering the color child kit. Great for MOQ, but maybe not for OP's vision of the set. This will sell like gangbusters either way.

The secondary market is looking for them because a bunch of people already bought them and aren't selling them either. BOW is a classic and everyone wants it in their collection and all. I'm just speaking on behalf of a lot of BOW owners i imagine when I say i would really enjoy a colored mods only set. Hell i personally want to use this with WOB so there's that to. Basically if there was a colored mods kit id buy it otherwise im just kindof not interested which is totally fine

Thanks for your comment. I get it why you don't like that "forced" key, and if I have to be honnest, I did it on purpose. I did that because IMHO it's wayyyy more good looking that way for the simple reason that each row have a special symmetry. Having the white backslash is killing the charm of it unless you go with other white keys for the other rows.

So as you said why allow the tilde to be in white ? Because a huge part of the hobby likes having the alpha colored tilde for the HHKB layout (I don't include myself in that). And also since BoW/WoB artisans, rama caps are all over the place, I'm sure some buyers would like having a WoB/BoW row 1 so in that case, it dosent kill the aesthetic of the set.

Since so few people complained about it, I think it's not a problem for the majority, once again, I'm trying to please the most amount of people possible.

I sadly can't please everyone, and at the end of the day, I hope that you understands

Nope it's not, the white of BoW is "very white" if you allow me to say that, it's almost too white for my taste.
This white as you can see in the sample is "less white" lol.
It's the white used in GMK olivia if i'm not mistaking !

-Full WoB modifier compatibility in the Additive Synthesis kit.
-WS2 or at least WS1, CP is practically beige.

thats just epbt bow at that point. The point of using CP was to keep it looking like OG cherry

Chill, friend. It's also a question of aesthetics. I personally think it works better with warm off-white / beige alphas than it would with pure white.

Yeah it's not WS1 or 2 and so what ? the OG sets use L9, I just think CP is more modern and is way better looking than those colors (WS1/2).
Do I care about the "sales count and an unsatisfied community" ? I don't give a ****, I don't know who you are but I'm doing myself and the people that enjoy it. If I cared about the money I'd be running a set every month don't you think ?
I'm doing it because I think it's a decent Idea, and I just like it, and apparently others do aswell, and that's all that matters !

On top of that, ofc I can't satisfy everyone, but I can guarantee you that I'm doing my best to take in consideration all criticisms you guys made, because even if I loved the way the kits were, I also have to think about you and that's what I'm doing at the moment by re-arranging all the kits 

I'd like to discuss one more thing, the debate ePBT/GMK thing.
I'd give you the point that to make it 100% "OG" I should have use GMK yes. But considering that sets that are running at the moments will be delivered in 2021, and all the upcomming sets, I just don't want to bring my thing to the huge queue that already exist.
That way people can have a similar experience, have the set faster and cheaper.

Samples will be recieved soon guys, I can't wait to show you guys some nice pics aswell as the new kits ! I'd like to take the time to make them as good as I can, and reveal the whole thing together !

You guys were right, the lack of orange spacebars was definetly something I could fix so I added them aswell as colored arrows and alice spacebars.

Updated kitting looks awesome. I only ask that you clarify with Epbt/Kbdfans that the smaller spacebars are all ocnvex (should be possible since simpleja had them). The amount of color options in the spacebar kit is awesome! Thanks for adding a numpad too.

Well, I really hope you'll reconsider your stance on #1, because I really like this set, but R3 PgUp, R4 PgDn (or novelties that can fill their place) are a prerequisite for me. Too many 65% boards to justify buying a set that I can't use on them (especially one that could potentially be as versatile as this). Plus, I know I'm not the only one who needs those keys.

Speaking of Num, you could also change Lock to Scroll so they match.

And by the way, I don't think EPBT does barred and scooped homing keys, only scooped+barred. At least that's how it was when I got my last few EPBT sets (Slate, BoW). So the other two F and J keys might be redundant (here's an idea: replace them with R3 PgUp, R4 PgDn ).

Well, I really hope you'll reconsider your stance on #1, because I really like this set, but R3 PgUp, R4 PgDn (or novelties that can fill their place) are a prerequisite for me. Nah I have been around the block for a while and know support for 6u and actual usage are very different. Maybe there are hoards of 6u mx stem users out there that keep their boards hidden, but across the net I see split spacebar exponentially more than 6u.

I decided to do something a bit different in those hard times due to covid19 situation.
It won't be a GB. It will basicly be an in stock Item, yes you heard it right, in stock item. And if it's not in stock, depending on what the proxies want to do, it will basicly be a pre-order with only few weeks of wait.
You don't need to upfront money, the prices won't increase, so I think everyone is happy ?

Don't worry, proxies up fronted a decent amount of sets, and we're in discussion to add more proxies and they will buy some sets aswell.

August/september ish.

I'll update soon the prices if you guys really want to, and the future proxies that will be add to this project.

I hope that you guys like the way this "GB" is handeled, it's something very different from what we are used to see, but I think it's for the best, so let me know what you think.

In stock is especially concerning with a set like this because I highly doubt vendors will do a 1:1 purchase of every child kit, so even if there is ample base kits, people won't be able to kit the numpad kit or iso kit they want. The best way to solve the child kit issues would be to make a giant base kit incorporating all of the kits or at least the iso and numpad kits so people can have physical compatibility guaranteed. Even a restock could be troublesome because it could result in only base kit being restocked similar to how epbt9009 is on kbdfans.

I fail to see how this is beneficial over a GB. Are people so concerned about wait time between the GB and fulfillment that they would be willing to take the risk of not getting an order at all just so some can get it sooner? If there is concern about people not having funds because of Covid-19 why not just run the GB later and offset the whole project by a couple of months? This project could also just be run as a GB now and vendors could purchase stock from the GB to carry in their storefronts at time of fulfillment. This is essentially what they are doing now, but to the exclusion of us endusers from the "vendor only groupbuy"

Then there is the issue of having to race the clock against flippers who will buy out sets just to pop up on mechmarket later. We are in a new age of MK popularity where literally every in stock item is selling out. Just look at H1, Tangerine, Alpaca, and the craziness with Kbd67 MKIII. These are selling out in under an hours, sometimes in 3 to 5 minutes and many potential buyers are being left out in the cold because the checkout systems can't handle the rush, they didn't get an alert, or can't jump to a computer the second buying opens.

Yes vendors, at least for KBD fans and CK will do a 1:1 purchase of every kit. If it wasnt the case, that wouldnt change a thing, it's not like everyone get all the child kits ?
Most people are fine with just a base kit.

Yes it's beneficial, I think we can all agree that the "waiting time" is horrible and that will also let us fix mistakes in case some happens like all the issues with several GMK sets.
Maybe for you money isnt something to worry about but maybe for some it is ? To me at least, this is important.

Are people so concerned about wait time between the GB and fulfillment that they would be willing to take the risk of not getting an order at all just so some can get it sooner? If there is concern about people not having funds because of Covid-19 why not just run the GB later and offset the whole project by a couple of months? This project could also just be run as a GB now and vendors could purchase stock from the GB to carry in their storefronts at time of fulfillment. This is essentially what they are doing now, but to the exclusion of us endusers from the "vendor only groupbuy"

To suggest aftermarket buying is ridiculous when there is already a mechanism for buyers to get all the kits they want without a second hand markup (Groupbuys). There is also no guarantee child kits will rerun, but even if it does is a buyer supposed to buy base and then wait on a rerun for a child kit? Sounds worse than the wait of a Groupbuy.

Even if there is a concern about money I don't see why the groupbuy is not just delayed. Open the buy from September 1 to 30 with normal groupbuy fulfillment times. Same amount of money being spent in September whether groupbuy or in stock. Only difference is time of fulfillment which I don't think outweighs the risk of not getting a kit through the in stock process.

Yes a groupbuy greatly alleviates the issue with flipping because the purchase is at least unlimited for some time through the groupbuy process. Sure, there will be flips after fulfillment but atleast everyone had an opportunity to get what they wanted without competing against flippers for a limited number of kits. I have no issue with flippers flipping its the fact that there are a finite amount of sets for in stock and buyers will have to compete with flippers for those finite sets.

I really don't understand how buyers see this as a benefit. Ask anyone who tried to buy Tangerines recently how just setting an alarm worked out.

I want to echo what rockydbull has said. "In Stock" buys are horrible at the moment -- they are a panic inducing affair where you are competing to buy a product that you've been watching since IC, all so middle men / bots can swoop in and buy the majority of the stock to flip. Personally I think the suggestion to delay the GB by a couple of months is a wise idea, or continue the current pattern of running a traditional GB so those who want the set gets one and vendors can put up the money for extras and include a markup. If the ultimate goal is to get the sets into the hands of those who love and are following the project, a traditional GB is the way to go, and those who can't buy in at that time have the option of vendor extras down the line. If it absolutely has to be an "In Stock" sale, I also agree that it should just be one kit like the original ePBT BoW was, to increase the chances that all the keys needed are present. In all honesty, those who were hit hard financially by COVID-19 probably won't have the extra cash to throw down on this set whether it's run in a month or in August (to those who have suffered, I hope you find work and well-being asap). I say all this because this set is something that is a must buy for me and for so many others that are following this thread, and I would hate for us to not be able to buy every kit that we had planned.

UGH in stock is a major bummer. In stock is especially concerning with a set like this because I highly doubt vendors will do a 1:1 purchase of every child kit, so even if there is ample base kits, people won't be able to kit the numpad kit or iso kit they want. The best way to solve the child kit issues would be to make a giant base kit incorporating all of the kits or at least the iso and numpad kits so people can have physical compatibility guaranteed. Even a restock could be troublesome because it could result in only base kit being restocked similar to how epbt9009 is on kbdfans.

- I won't add 6u because so few layouts use it, almost all 6u keyboards are topre and IMO you shouldnt use non-topre keycaps on topre, maybe it's dumb but that's how I see it.

- The R3 PgUp R4Dn is the only thing that i'm still considering changing.

- I changed the NumLock to Num as you guys suggested, it way better this way.

- The ISO Kit will remain the same since none of the ISO users besides you wanted some changes.

Exactly, but from a vendors perspective it would make sense - as it is a nice pull system without risking too much unsold kits.

All of the advantages you cite for a preorder would be true of an unlimited groupbuy. You can do multiple runs of an unlimited groupbuy. Instead, with preorders there will be limited spots to be filled each round, creating a potential of multiple rounds going by that are extremely hard to get into. The only advantage for preorders I see is for the vendor because it caps the amount of product that has to be sorted and shipped per round.

I honestly do not see an advantage (at least on the buyer side). It is claimed to help people with money, but I don't see how since the buy could just be delayed (though I do not see the economy recovering any time soon for most people). Perhaps it is a production schedule issue. I know other sets will be running around the same time in unlimited GB like CoolKids.

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of update.

the set was delayed because spacebars were re-made with new ePBT molds because they had "banana" problems.

Everything is done besides the spacebar kit (I'm waiting on set/pictures to show you) we just want to make it perfect considering that it's an in stock item.

It should be in sale for october, worst scenario very early november.

Yes, all epbt (and GMK) have these sprue marks on the north side of the caps. It's part of the manufacturing process.

Wow, I am shocked, especially if even GMK has them ... I mean even low key OEM and small time manufacturers realised it's better to inject from the bottom.
With a community with a high standard as ours, that often obsesses over small imperfections in print and non-restrictive warping of keys, I assumed those high cost keycaps were actually better, especially GMK ones...

There might be a functional reason for this. I also see many more of those cheap caps have stem issues (possibly from where it is injected). I would much rather a sprue mark than a mishappen stem.
