I am a bit tired, someone enlighten me on how this scam is supposed to work?

Maybe a hacked seller account?

****s me, I guess that is the only logical conclusion. I mean the account has been around since 2003.

Dang, I got:

This listing (**********) has been removed, or this item is not available.
Please check that you've entered the correct item number
Listings that have ended 90 or more days ago will not be available for viewing.

They even removed the listing number (even though it's right there in the URL, duh).

I take it this was a hot graphics card with a wildly low BIN price? And the person was using an otherwise legit eBay account, and diverting the funds to a different account, or requiring the money to be wired to them, etc.?

It was a 1070 card for ~$55, the one I saw the account had no feedback at all in the last 6 months but was an older low feedback account.

And yeah the listing was gone right after I posted my post earlier.
