« on: Thu, 30 May 2013, 21:05:14 »

This is supposed to be the keycap im looking for cut in half where the grey area would be solid.

Preferably they would be blank.

Haha why would u need caps that thick? :P

Youd prob need stiffer springs to make up for the weight of them..

Turn your keycaps over and pour a quarter of a spoonful of concrete in them.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Clacks are like that; or at least mine is (and i only have one :()
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

Once upon a time, I saw a picture in this forum of keycaps that some Chinese guy (?) had filled with Sculpey (or other polymer clay) in the empty space above the key stem.
However, that would only work with PBT keys. ABS starts warping at a temperature lower than what is needed for curing Sculpey. Sculpey is also not adhesive when cured - it would be held with friction only.

Btw, Cherry profile keys on the home row -- the lowest keys -- have very little extra space, even the thin-walled PBT keys.

I guess you could put some blu-tack in them to figure out how much extra weight you can add to each row of keys
Freebird WKL (Blacks Clear-Tops), iKBC F-104 (Blacks) and more!

Boost's superhero caps are perhaps the thickest I've seen.

Thanks! I found a bunch of pics of what Im looking for in this album. http://imgur.com/a/ZRPcb/layout/blog

Specifically this picture. The Leftmost is ideally the key cap profile that I want.

Im assuming its impossible for CC to make me some sort of blanks either with his plastic or with ABS or PBT so the search continues.

MX keys ideally. The only thing I was referencing in that image was the thickness of the top of the cap.
