Need help finding some replacement keys for Corsair K70
« on: Fri, 27 March 2015, 07:36:48 »
Hey guys, having a bit of an issue here that someone may be able to help me with. I did a bit of searching around but I couldn't really find what I was looking for (I'm only a mild keyboard enthusiast and I've been happy since I got my RF) so maybe you guys will have some ideas.

My girlfriend, in her over-excitement, bought these http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=711 keycaps for her Corsair K70 RGB. Unfortunately when they arrived she found out that the bottom row of the K70 isn't the same layout as the ducky shine 4, some keys are an unusual fit, some keys cant be squeezed in at all. The problem keys are currently the spacebar and the 3 R1x1 keys. According to this thread http://www.overclock.net/t/1406382/corsair-k70-with-custom-key-caps and from seeing them in person the spacebar seems to be 6.5 instead of the 6.25 of the ducky shine, and the rest of the row being completely different sizes also. For the 3 R1 keys she's using some extra R4 keys and it looks pretty silly, but at least it's the colour she wants. However, the spacebar cant be used at all.

So that's the story of it all. Now what I'm looking for is some replacement keycaps for that row. The keycaps I need are 1x6.5 spacebar, 2x1.5R1, 2x1.25R1, 3x1R1 hopefully with the modifiers at least saying ctrl/alt etc or maybe a graphic of some sort, and backlit if possible although it isn't expected. All in some form of pink preferably.

The best case scenario here would be to find a full key set that includes the key sizes above (ANSI/ISO are both fine) in backlit white. Then we could do a pink/white colour split.

If there's nothing possible in either of the above then perhaps an entirely new backlit set in complete pink/purple or in combination with another colour.

Any advice on the situation as well would be great, really open to a lot of alternatives here. Even if they aren't in the colours listed above it might still be of some help.

Thanks  :)

As a former K70 owner finding replacement keycaps will be hard if not impossible to get a full
set to fit properly. The only replacements that i know of that will fit properly are the
