Imsto vs. EnjoyPBT

I've been eyeing the Miami sets and since they're about the same price, I was wondering if there were any glaring differences between EnjoyPBT and Imsto that I should be made aware of. Quality, legends, etc.

It depends on what set you're looking at.
IMSTO only does the dye sublimation and uses caps from other manufacturers.
His most recent ongoing run for keycaps uses gateron PBT keycaps, the exact same as Enjoypbt; there really isn't any difference in quality.
Though, if I recall Enjoypbt has more vibrant legend colours.

I believe they both use Gateron keycaps that they dyesub (correct me if I'm wrong), so the only real difference would be that the legends are slightly different.  How different? No idea.

Probably the best comparison you'll get. R4 Imsto is using Gateron base.

So you're thinking of a taihao, or SP DCS Miami set, but you want to make sure that you're not missing out on a great pbt set? I'm a bit confused.

Taihao is PBT (some have a nasty microbial coating that peels away after use)

If you're talking about IvanIvanovitch's Miami Odessa set.. well.. first of all don't buy directly from that guy, second, where did you find that set? I don't see it on the IMSTO website.

Yeah so other than the slight difference in legends, I was just curious about the manufacturing differences. If it's not too different, I'll probably just grab a set from Shadovved because it'll be available faster.

Like I said, Enjoypbt uses more vibrant colours on their Hangul set.


I can't find any good shots of the Miami set as the colours vary so drastically between shots. However, you will see that the blues in the Miami odessa sets look kind of washed out compared to Enjoypbt which opts for a darker blue.

Speaking of IMSTO, is that vendor currently active? I put in an order for the dark grey PBT on the 31st but it still says "pending". I'm wondering if anyone has ordered from there recently.
