I just wanna refund the money to him and finish whole **** situation, it's my the worst memory on GH.
Anyway when I shipback that Kmac to him, he will make some trouble to harasse me
so this situation will repeat forever.

But you, balanar if you have a small conscience or you're the human you must pay the part of
kmac2's worth was devalued.
Whatever you packed well as like me(actually not like me),
it already happend and you were totally wrong to choose the size of box.

But honestly, maybe he wouldn't pay at all. He even hasn't shipped the left things he took away
until now and I didn't receive any kind of the tracking number.

I'll share this story forever to prevent further victims.

Every one chill, this is a tiny $100 blip..

I am very surprised at the amount of emotions people have exhibited over so little money.

It's like Chaos step wants Balanar to be waterboarded.. :))

Choasstep, you're right that Balanar may indeed be a bad trader, but you've taken it upon yourself to become "petty".

Would you buy a Kmac 2 with a damaged case that was "fixed"
I wouldn't and most others would not either.

I do not know the exact prices from this transaction, but I will base this on sherry's prices.
$410.00 for the KMAC2
$42.50 KMAC 2 simple assembly
$22.50 for the vintage blacks @  0.25 each * 90 switches based on whisky tango's prices. probably higher.
$25.00 to solder the actual switches.

total $500.00 without shipping from korea.

I am very surprised at the amount of emotions people have exhibited over so little money.
$500-$600 is a lot of money and I would be upset if something happened.

balanar could have resoldered the switch or the diode.
balanar could have properly packed the contents of the package before reshipping back to chaosstep.
chaosstep now has to spend additional $$$ to fix the case on the kmac2 that he was proxying and doesn't even want to own.
chaosstep has to find someone willing to buy a KMAC2 with a "fixed" case.

either way chaosstep is going to loose money on a proxy he didn't want to do anyways.

$500 blips happen also.. still blip level.

If it's under $5000 it's a blip...

If you get mad over $500 stuff, you're going to get a heart attacks when you lose $5000.

People for whom $500 is a significant amount of money are unlikely to get themselves into the situation where $5000 is owed.

Not everyone operates at the same scale.

And there is also the principal of the thing.  Let someone get away with $100 this time, and it will be $500 next time.  And $5000 after that.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

If you think me to become "Petty"
Why don't you cover that very small money for money? I'm Poor, help me lol.

Actaully You underestimate the money.
Yeah the value is totally depend on people,
but If I donated 100$~500$ you thought it's just a blip and a small money to UNICEF,
They would help a lot of people, even saved their life.

Sigh,

I did take some time off from both GH and local forums after this fiasco to think about what had transpired and my mistakes in them.

I will not attempt to deny that I acted petulant and completely inappropriately in both major trade problems - one locally and one here with chaosstep. In both instances, my anger got the better of me and only aggravated the situation.

With regards to our trade chaosstep, I was upset that I did not receive a properly working product despite you saying it had been tested thoroughly. Also, the notion of paying even more to ship the keyboard back to you and then to me was not a nice one as it would amount to some serious money. Your accusations that I had done something to it myself were what really made me angry due to the ridiculousness of the situation. I basically didn't want to engage in what I deemed at the time as useless conversation and just launched a PayPal claim.

I have NOT scammed or intentionally cheated anyone out of anything. This is a lie and I will welcome anyone to come forward and prove otherwise. The things I sell are as described and I take responsibility for them if they are not. It appeared to me at that time that chaosstep was not doing so, thus pushing the blame to me and this angered me. It was the same situation with demik where he was doing me a favour but I was upset at the numerous delays and perceived lack of communication when I had to chase him for updates. I AM NOT trying to stir anything up as I accept that it was my mistake in viewing the situation as something other than what it was  - a favour. I've had major sales on here and locally that went on without a hitch. You can check my local rep and there is NOT ONE report of something I have sold not being as described or any other problems.

As for accusations of on occasion marking the price of items up in my sales, it was either to cover expenses incurred in the purchase such as shipping or to raise money for a particular purpose. Again, not denying it. My experiences in forums have been that the buyers have the power to 'vote' with their money. If they didn't like the price of something, they could approach the seller and make an offer. Otherwise, they could choose not to buy. I myself have many times purchased items well over retail price because I really wanted it and never *****ed about it. It was my choice to buy it.

TL;DR

Apart from being a ungrateful prick, I was wrongly angry. I neglected building trusting relationships with people in a community like this and saw it as just business. However, I did not scam anyone. If you have any disagreements about this, please feel free to post. I have made mistakes due to anger and do not deny that but being falsely labelled a scammer sucks.

Chaosstep, if you wish to continue dragging my name through the mud by all means continue. However, yes I will continue to post here and locally so if you wish to try and stop that I'm sorry. I will be a better person which understandably only time will show. I will attempt to make things right with you Chul so let me know.

If you guys in the community have anything to add about how I have acted, please let me know and I will change.

Edit: I tried to PM you chaosstep but you have blocked me.

I don't have time to read at all.

Sigh, If you have spare time to excuse like that.
Just Stop tend to have weird attitude and show people and ask for sympathy.
Just tell and do not something with them,
"Sorry" and don't cheat newbies(even 4-5times than the retail price). That's all we want, easy and that's even good for you.

All people are not perfect, make mistakes sometimes of course.
But the important thing is that people could admit and fix their mistakes. That's the one reason why Human beings differ from other animals.

PS. I tried to end this topic, but you still update it lol. Thanks.

I'm sorry if you expected me to view your bumping of a thread that has been buried for so long with a vindictive warning as trying to end it. My mistake.

I did not ask for sympathy at all anywhere. I also want to point out that you are assuming that I got things at 'retail' price whatever that might be.

I see that you are unwilling to unblock me and that is of course your decision to make. If you want to end it like this, then so be it.
