Fully built octagon, red anodized, cherry mx blues stickered, lubed, and sip socketed by GON, switches soldered by the chemist.

Original kit cost - $295 + $56 shipping
Pre-tuned mx blues by GON - $110
Soldering by thechemist - $50
Misc. Parts $10

What is a fair price?
350-400 afaik

Oh... really? Well that's sad.

I feel like $400 plus shipping is fair.
My opinions is based by that I don't think soldering adds any value (you wouldnt buy a board with switches unsoldered for 50$ less than a soldered board). Also switch modding is worth 30$ tops on top of the ori price of blues (50$). But that's just my opinion
The board cost $350 without switches, I figure the switches + tuning + soldering is worth $50.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

I'm gonna hold a funeral for that extra $100 I spent on switches tuned by GON.

I don't see why you wouldn't first list it at what you paid and see if anyone wants it.  If not, you can always drop it to the aforementioned "fair" price.  There's no shame in wanting to get your money back from something like that, though of course we all know that "modding" money is hard to get back.  But it doesn't hurt to ask for it.

A quick q: how much for a "brand new", never used Cherry G80-1000HAD?

EDIT: Ah, and how about G81-3000LRNDE? [link] Got a couple of those babies...

In the US?  You'd be lucky to get $50 for it.  ISO isn't really worth much.  The G81s aren't worth the price of shipping.  The switches are crap and the caps are nothing special.  Maybe $10-15 on the high end.

niubio is apparently in Poland.

When was the NIB G80-1000HAD made? See the three-symbol code. An early model should be easily worth about €70.

I agree the modern G81s are nearly worthless though. The caps are thin and basically only 1x are usable elsewhere.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

A good tip davkol, ty! It's L16 - so 1999 :)

I'll try my luck on our domestic auction site then. Cheers!

I see, 1999 probably implies no vintage blacks. Are there at least diodes inside switches?

What is a tenkeyless key cap set of Cherry doubleshot abs caps worth?  All of the caps are brand new except for some of the modifiers which were taken from another board.  They were taken from POS boards.

Boards they were taken from?  Model numbers?  Colors?  MX or MY?  There's nowhere near enough info to give a price, so I'll say $10-15.

I guess you are talking about OG doubleshots from a 3000 but depending on the board: 60-130$
Very busy with studies atm.

White on black Cherry DS, 'like new' maybe $30-$40... but I would include the numpad keys and relegendables as well unless you really don't have them.

The NIB set from the G81-1822HQMUS alone is worth about $65. Including the modifiers perhaps $85.

Preferably ANSI and I would prefer mild yellowing to no yellowing, but it isn't too much of a big deal.

FYI, there is no real ANSI 2100. This is the US 2100 G80-2100HDU :

And the ISO version :

If you wanted standard ANSI you would need to drill mod the PCB.

Used, good condition.. Maybe $150 for ISO, $200 for US.

Has anyone heard of TO-300? This one is in ISO, seems unused, with what I believe (based on logo sizes) are vintage MX Blacks and a mixture of thick and thin doubleshots. What's a good price for this?

Looks like a rebranded Wyse board, maybe a rebranded Televideo Wyse board.  Odds are there's a mix of switches on it, not purely "vintage" Blacks.

IF it's NIB, $40-50 is probably fair, though I would never pay more than $20-30 for any Wyse board.

Oh, I should say this.  Some will probably disagree with me and peg it higher, but ISO and requiring a Moogle both count as strikes for me, making it so most people would only be buying it for the switches.  If it were ANSI, you might be able to get $60, but I'd still say the same price range.

I have multiple model Ms to sell. One of them is not a buckling spring model, and another has a permanent cable.

I am missing one sdl cable, and as you can see, several keycaps.

Model#s:
52g9700
1398601
1391401
71g4644
1391401

Assume I am going to bolt mod them all, and clean/detail them all. How much would one go for that has all caps and cable? What about missing a cable? How much should I take off for each missing keycap?

I have multiple model Ms to sell.

I am out of the loop but I would guess about $80 each if working and complete.

Bolt-modding generally a money-losing operation, most buyers will not pay a premium for it, although some sellers such as Ezrahilyer and Space Ghost have made a successful go at it.

Go to Unicomp or clickykeyboards and buy the missing caps for $1 each and you will get a better price for your wares. The $15 for a cable may not return your investment because many M lovers have extra cables laying around.

The Lexmark-branded one may get some interest, I would kind of like to have one in my collection, but not now. I think the Lexmark label is much more handsome than the oval left label.

The 71x is not likely to bring more than $15 + shipping on ebay.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

You might market them as "upscale" and get better prices if you are patient.
Top dollar (as proven by ezrahilyer's success) is paid for programmable ones with internal Soarer's/Teensies.

Thanks. I'm not too concerned with getting extra for the bolt mod, as parts are cheap, and I'll be doing one to keep, so doing the rest won't be as bad.

I agree with you on the lexmark one, I may just keep that for myself.

These stock POM 1800 keycaps with laser-infilled legends. If I decided to sell these, what would be a fair asking price?

97486-0

It's a winkey set, which I was not expecting with this board. I want to use the 1800 case for a GMK Hyperfuse set but I'd have to put a new PCB in it. I can probably still get a Leeku PCB+Plate from the TX1800 buy but maybe these caps can help offset that extra cost. Best guesses?

The infill wears off really fast, thus lots of people somehow dislike these caps. I'd get them in an instant though.
I bought a previous set for about $25 shipped, and consider it a fair price, esp. if brand new Vortex PBT doubleshots can be had for like $30 shipped on Massdrop.

I'm gonna hold a funeral for that extra $100 I spent on switches tuned by GON.

Thats crazy price considering my $50 included sip sockets and installation of them into switches that already have switch stickers so you have to really really take your time to install them without damaging the stickers. I also did the soldering and cleaning of the pcb for the $50. Maybe it's time to raise prices to GON's level  :p

Word. Those stickered/lubed clears for the Smallfry kit arrived today. Pretty sure you used an extra $50 in packing tape alone!

An Amiga 2000 keyboard with MX Blacks and a US layout?  Pretty clean but untested.

(Attachment Link)

I sold mine for $115 shipped. It's a cool keyboard but it speaks a proprietary protocol so it's only useable on Amiga system without protocol conversion (there is a guide on to build one with an audrino out there).

I found someone selling two Chery ErgoPlus MX 5000s. What would be a fair price for these?

Thanks.

ANSI? A LOT.
ISO? Not so much.

It's been answered recently either here, or in the respective thread at DT.

Oh, wow. I just saw the prices they were talking about on DT. I mean, the post I found was from 2012 but I assume they're still valuable.
