For 3 keys thumb cluster, do you prefer MiniDox/crkbd thumb arc, or the one on iris / atreus 2?

I like the Corne/MiniDox/Iris thumb cluster. The position and angles of the keys fit my hand size perfectly.

I would only have to stretch to hit the top-most of a split 2u key on an Iris. It would have been better to have it under the columns.

Interesting, do you mean the meta key in the attachment is too high for you? and it would be nicer if the meta key is moved downwards?

Yes, that one. I would prefer it non-split, or with the Meta key below X and C in this case.
But I don't use columnar keyboards that much, so do please weigh others' opinions higher.

my absolute favorite (by magnitudes) is the chimera ergo 42 thumb cluster. ok, that's not what you've asked for ;)

Just a bit of topic, but I am curious what mods you prefer on you keycluster: Strg/Ctrl, Alt/Option and Win/CMD/Code/System etc. or something different like individual macros or something?

I have just ordered a 3-key-cluster (not ready for production yet) and in eager anticipation I wondered what somebody how already experience the 3-key-cluster-lifestyle come up with as usecases.

Definitely prefer the Corne's thumb layout. 3 keys down there is all I need currently. I don't actually have that top thumb key on my Iris mapped to anything at all
