We rescued Milo, a two year old yellow lab, from a divorcing couple six weeks ago. I got him to keep me company on my walks and we have averaged over seven miles a day since then. He chews up everything within reach and seems to suffer from separation anxiety disorder. He loves people and always looks for an opportunity to greet visitors with a casual crotch sniffing or a sudden goosing.
We’re attempting to refine some of his grosser ways and are, in fact, making progress. I’ve learned a lot about dog training and dog psychology recently but it’s still a lot of work. More work than I expected, but (if you’re a dog lover you’ll understand) worth it.
