I'd love to buy a bluetrack mouse, but I absolutely can't understand why they don't offer a bluetooth variant FFS.
Tiny USB receivers are the doom of civilization. They're both crappy and impractical. Their range is abysmal, so when using a desktop, reception is quite bad and you'll have to use a USB extension to properly position the receiver. When using a laptop (most of them happen to have integrated bluetooth anyway, so WHY NOT JUST USE IT?), which are plagued with a slight deficiency of USB ports, not only does it take away a USB port, but also do these receivers tend to get lost pretty quickly.
So basically, there's two sensible options: Bluetooth for mobile/high-end devices and a dedicated receiver with cable for desktop devices.
