Price for the keyboard kit is 429€ (aluminum weight), or 479€ (polished stainless steel weight).

Each keyboard kit will contains :

• Top Piece in anodized Aluminum 6063
• Bottom Piece in anodized Aluminum 6063
• Weight in polished Stainless Steel or anodized Aluminum 6063, depending of your option choice
• One plate in anodized Aluminum 6063
• One high-quality Typemaster 80-A PCB
• One high-quality USB-C Daughterboard with JST cable
• Premium Typemaster box

All Typemaster 180 kits will be delivered "ready to build". This means the magnets, gel pads and feet will be placed on the body for you, before delivery.

MoQ is 100 pieces, and the sale will be limited to 250 pieces, on a FCFS basis.

If we do not meet the 250 pieces, the GB will end the 6th April 2021 at 7:00 PM UTC+1.

We will charge VAT for EU customers ; We ship worldwide!

Extra plates are available in aluminum, brass, stainless steel, POM or PC. For the extra plates, the MoQ will be 25 units per material.

Extra PCB are also available for sale.

The ETA for shipping after the group buy is around 4-5 months for 100 units, and 5-6 months for 250 units. Please keep in mind this is a rough estimation! We will do our best to meet the quickest shipping.

We will ship by batches on a FCFS basis. This means the first order will be the first to be sent from our office. We will update you here and on Instagram at every important step.

Yes :-) Plate file will be released soon after the GB completion, for personal use only.

Considering our volume, the VAT will be the French VAT (20%). Shipping to West EU will be 23,10€. East EU will be 32,20€

Due to some questions / concerns we got recently, here are some important notes we added on our website :

- The Black "Noir Basalte" is not a true black, nor a "navy" color. It has a slight blue tint in it you should see only in a strong light.

- Even if ALPS compatibility should be good on paper, it has not been tested by our team. Our plate design only supports MX style PCB stabs mount. However, we'll release the 3D file for our plate if you want to work on it.

- Both ANSI, ISO, and all the keyboard layouts we offre has been tested by our team.

- Plastic based plates (POM and PC) has not been tested by our team. While it should be resistant enough to pressure while you dismount the keyboard, please keep in mind you order them at your own risk.

Moreover, about the colors, please compare the photos of our last "silver / blue" prototype with the renders of the same color to have a good idea of "how the other colors will look".

We'll do a sample keyboard of each color once the GB is closed to check the colors are exactly what we want, before giving our green light for the other keyboards.

Unlike plastic keycaps, we'll have this way a good control of the colors we get from the anodizing factory.

In the future, we'll make sure to make a prototype of each color before going into the GB phase. For this first GB, we simply didn't had the finances to do that.

A few points we wanted to tell you before it going live:

- We will test the plastic based plates before going into mass production. If they are bad or unusable, a refund will be done to each plastic plate order. Even if everything should work, we'll make all the tests needed to make sure you will not be disappointed.

- We had a lot of demands for a hotswap PCB. Later this year, we'll propose an IC about that for the Typemaster 180.

- We'll release the extra PCBs and plates 1 or 2 hours before going live, so you can add the extras in your basket and don't loose time once the keyboard kit is live.

No it's not a mistake, we are obligated to collect VAT in any EU sale unfortunately... It will be sent from France so you'll not have any VAT / customs / duty taxes at the arrival however !

Hey ! A full black one is a bit of a hit or miss because of the anodization process... If the 2 pieces comes in slightly different colors, it will not looks good. When there's a lot of production, it's kind of possible to matches the pieces together. But that's not our case.

And you'll miss the 2-tones design as well doing that :-)

We are aware there is some problems with certain cards / banks, probably due to a problem with the 3D secure configuration. We are in contact with our payment gateway about this problem, and it should be resolved quickly. We'll get in touch with every buyer who had a problem once it's solved !

We're currently at 65% MoQ with somewhere between 10 and 15% more awaiting for our payment gateway to support their payment cards. Unfortunately, the situation with our payment gateway is very long to resolve, and most of our EU customers can't finalize their purchase. Considering this, we should be around 80% MoQ after this issue is resolved !

This is normal for group buys. There are generally no refunds once an order has been placed. I'm not sure why you're posting a buyer beware to make this GB look any different than any other GB out there on geekhack.

By my interpretation, a "sale" being final means that after the item has shipped or been received by the buyer, they are not able to return it. Not that they can't intercept it at some point earlier in the process and cancel their order. In this case, the GB is still active and that would indicate that the order has not been placed with the factory - therefore, they should be able to cancel the order and refund the payment.

This is a totally legitimate heads up to pass along to potential buyers.

We're sorry about the late reply. We got some problems with our e-mails, witch are now resolved.

As I am writing to you at the moment, we are working closely with our manufacturer, and while the keyboards are still not in production, we however are planning their production as we speak to reduce the overall process time.

Each time a customer is ordering from us, we are paying a lot of percentage based fees, witch for most will not be refunded to us in case of a refund, because each card transaction have a cost.

In a "standard" business with "standard" margins, this is not a problem and can be assumed within the margin. In our case, we are a very small group, with limited finances, and we are working with very low margins. We can't pay from our own pockets because "customers are changing their mind" over the time.

This is why we clearly stated on each product "All sales are final. We will NOT accept returns, refunds or replacements under ANY circumstances.". According to our country, a sale (= contract between the company and the buyer) starts as soon as the buyer clicks on the "Buy" button.

That is not a universal rule of GBs, nor is that 100% clear from the verbiage on the website. By my interpretation, a "sale" being final means that after the item has shipped or been received by the buyer, they are not able to return it. Not that they can't intercept it at some point earlier in the process and cancel their order. In this case, the GB is still active and that would indicate that the order has not been placed with the factory - therefore, they should be able to cancel the order and refund the payment.

I see now that you guys are using Shopify, and you do not want to issue refunds. This is understandable, I have personal experience with Shopify and they do not issue refunds to the fees incurred. I can completely understand your situation at the moment, but perhaps instead of issuing full refunds, issue a partial refund that ensures you do not have to pay out of pocket to refund? With that solution, those who truly want a refund can get their refund, and you will not suffer. I think this solution is most acceptable. For the others in this thread, you must understand that the reason they cannot refund is out of their hands, because of Shopify's ridiculous refund policies, and nearly all small GB's involving Shopify suffer from this issue.

They have now updated the policy to issue refunds (minus fees they paid) for anyone who wants a refund. Great stuff by the team , happy to hear they are accepting criticism and addressing them fairly. They've addressed nearly all the complaints of the original GB at this point, which I am happy to see because most GB's, especially small ones like this don't go that far.

About the cases of refund requests, we've changed our policy today to this terms :

You can request for a refund of your order until the 6th April 2021 at 7:00 PM UTC+1. However, we will deduct services fees of 3,8% of the total amount you purchased.

After the 6th April 2021, all the sales will be final. From this date, we will NOT accept returns, refunds or replacements under ANY circumstances.

The 3,8% is what we pay in Shopify, Payment processor, 3D secure, and bank fees on each transaction.

We believe this is the best decision for those who wish to cancel their participation into the GB !

This is one hell of a good looking board. Really. Very nicely done: every line on this board looks deliberate and harmonious. I'm particularly pleased by your decision to keep logos off of the top of the board.

Wonderful sounding board! I bet it feels terrific too (gel interface between plate and chassis) - probably a stellar performer over long typing sessions.

There will be no issues for the participants of the current GB !

We'll order extras as full keyboards and plates to help reaching MoQ and keeping the same price we has been quoted from the factory.

However, we did not plan to offer only bottoms pieces in this GB or in the extras. There's some reasons about that :

- The fitting of each pieces is done and controlled per keyboard, and not every piece in guaranteed to fit another keyboard nicely (especially the weight in the bottom piece)
- There's no packaging planned to send only a piece of the keyboard
- Our volume is too low at the moment to do it as perfectly as we want to do

I really like this. This is a brilliant design and I like the swap-ability. I think a tighter layout would appeal to me more on a 75%, as well as flex considerations such as on the Jelly Epoch.

The GB closed on April 3rd based on their instagram feed but I'm not sure why it ended 3 days earlier than posted. I hope the extras are still good to grab though

I feel like this is one of those boards that more people would know about it had someone like dededecline, Alexotos, Taeha, etc, built one.

Super innovative design, but not a lot of people know about it.

Hi there !

It seems we made a rather annoying mistake by setting 2 different closing dates for the GB, without noticing it. The GB should have stopped today (the 6th) and not the 3rd like we did.

However, good news : we have just re-opened the GB until this Sunday the 11th at 7:00 PM GMT-1. This way, the people who didn't had the time to enter will have 5 days to do it 

Thanks again for all the kind words guys, we agree our marketing has not been the best, but we are pretty happy with the sales results so far. :-)

I also think it's a good thing to make a rather limited sale for this very first GB. It will speed up the process and make the production & preparation easier for us.

About the hotswap PCB, the plan is to make an IC when all keyboards have been delivered. If the IC is successful, the production should be quick !

I'm getting rejected on the payment. It all proceeds fine and I am able to approve the CC withdraw in my banking app (second layer of security in NL) but it returns with:

"Transaction non permise à ce porteur"

After my banking app states the payment was approved from their side. After it won't show up in my CC so cancellation is handled correctly.

I'm glad it finally worked ! From what we know, this case can happen in case the payment processor thinks you're not the owner of your card, for example if you're not at your usual location, or if you use a VPN.

Anyways, I'm happy it worked for you at the end :-) Credit card processing is quite a mess..!

Thanks! I assume Shopify is handling that mess for you right? In any case, order came in just fine in the end so can't wait to do the magic snap case closure thing myself. I will also be testing the various plates and see if your claim for 30 sec plate swap is true . Would be perfect as quite honestly I'm too lazy for hotswap hehe. Thanks for trying new things! Keeps it interesting.

We'll see with our finances, but we'll try to stock as much PCB and plates as we can! It's hard to guess what will be the demand for these in the future, but we'll try to find the sweet spot :-)

I really like this. This is a brilliant design and I like the swap-ability. I think a tighter layout would appeal to me more on a 75%, as well as flex considerations such as on the Jelly Epoch.

I must have seen a different pcb/plate. Looking a second time, there seem to be considerable accommodations for flex on this. Very excited to see this come to the market.
