Model M p/n 1397661 on eBay

I just bought a 1992 IBM Model M p/n 1397661 (a rare 1391401 variant with one-piece keys) here on eBay. The seller accepted my $45 offer on his (already quite reasonable) asking price of $55. He has a couple more for sale, so I'm guessing he'll take $45 (plus shipping) for them too.

Neither Wikipedia nor Deskthority had this p/n in their lists (I've since added it), and it's rarely been mentioned here on GH. Seems like a good chance to add an obscure variant to your collection!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to hand out cocaine-laced lollipops to schoolchildren... Okay, I'm kidding, but you have to admit it's a good metaphor.  :?)

I did some digging through my Model M pile and found a few more of these, so I've updated the listing (I now have 7 total). At first I assumed that they were identical to 1391401s, but it turns out that they do indeed all have one piece caps. Also, all of the ones that I have are gray labels.

Fun fact: All but one of my 1397661s were made on 05-28-92. Strange!

Oops, LOL! Oh well, I guess that's the risk one takes when posting about a Great Find here... Hope I didn't come off as too catty. 

I'm surprised you haven't sold all of these yet. (Maybe that's why so few of them have been seen—you had all of 'em!)
