Seems severely under budget thus far, but that's only temporary if they can get the plot rolling.

Is it tooo-hipster ?  Or is the current iteration a generalized version of how the younger generation identify themselves ?

I haven't seen or heard anything about this but guessing from the name it's yet another PC remake.  I don't like remakes in the first place (I rarely re-watch anything either - it's no fun when I know what's going to happen) but when they have to spend time bending everything to fit 'wrong' race/gender characters it just makes me wonder why they didn't do something new.
