This is my first IC, please use lube.
Looking to gauge interest and obtain feedback on kitting.


Why?

My goal with these kits is to extend the usefulness of GMK sets like Hineybeige and Dolch R5 for keyboard layouts where you might prefer a less aggressive bottom row profile, particularly those with winkeys.

If you love beige and dolch sets (like me) but prefer a R4 bottom row for non-TKL layouts like 60, 65, 1800, etc., then this is the extension kit for you. 

Also taking the opportunity to offer 1.5 super and 1u alt keys, for HHKB enjoyers.

•   Addition of WoB kit
•   Replacement of one 1.5u and one 1.25u alt key for alt gr keys

•   Removal of WoB kit (see faq and lower in the thread)
•   Updated renders to include 1.5u Hangul control & alt


FAQ

1.   Will you consider this amazing set in WoB as well?
Unfortunately whilst there has been some interest shown, given the vast number of WoB R4 sets in the wild, reaching MOQ on this kit will be difficult. As it stands, WoB kitting needs to be excluded.

2.   ne alt gr avail?
Yes! Enough people have requested this to make it viable. See change log.

3.   Can we replace OG Windows and Menu keys with something else (sys, super, FN etc.)?
No, that would defeat the point of the set which is to have these 'OG' keys.

We've come full circle from R5 kits to R4 kits! :p Not really up my alley since I prefer R5 personally, but I do see the demand for this as there has been a good bit of GMK sets sold recently that had just R5 bottom rows. GLWIC! :thumb:

Some kitting updates based on further community feedback and discussion with vendors (FAQ updated):
- WoB kit won't be included unfortunately; we're going back to the original plan of beige and dolch kits only.
- Hangul control and alt keys will likely be included in 1.5u (beige and dolch). Loads of people asked for this. Awaiting updated quote from GMK.

Probably asking a bit much from where this ideal started so I doubt it. Although this is also a great ideal, might even be something that could run on its own merit TBH.
