That's me. I was very close to buy the Lunar I, but then I had zero knowledge about Alps switches, so I skipped. Now I will try to get one and start to explore the Alps space. This is so beautiful. Love the side look so much.

This board looks fantastic, and I've got an AEK lying around that would make a great donation candidate. Looking forward to updates!

Color me interested. I had my eyes on the OG lunar when it dropped but it was a bit too early in the game for me to delve into sourcing ALPS and caps. Excited to see a second version and looking forward to future updates!

So in. Built an ADK64 with oranges and bought some ambers recently, looks like they'll find a nice home in this.

The lack of a seam makes the subtle curvature that much more beautiful. I still have a bag of salmon alps that I've been meaning to clean and lube.

The modern M0110 was a little too old school, but this right here is nod to Apple's 90's design language while still being beautifully modern.

If my G60 ever ships it would be the 60% Cherry MX ying to this 60% Apple Alps yang. It'd be beautiful.

Correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't the OG Lunar keyboard a 65% keyboard layout (with an arrow cluster)?  Any chances of the 65% Lunar making a comeback?

Sweet mother yes. Any chance for an hhkb layout option?
Would need to be entirely different case and PCB design.

Would be entirely worth it though 😉 Split right shift support can go in that fantasy never- gonna-happen list too

I'm super interested, and would love to hear a sound test. Am also dreaming of a split right shift, and the biggest (never to come true) dream is 65%. I needs muh arrow keys! Still might buy though. Looks great!

I'm guessing one of the major barriers to split right shift isn't just a design decision, it's availability of compatible keycaps.

Just here to voice my minority opinion to show there is an interest (although idk if there's enough to warrant it). Would be down to see a hhkb blocker version. Not sure if a second design and having two pcb options would overcomplicate things.

I'm guessing one of the major barriers to split right shift isn't just a design decision, it's availability of compatible keycaps.

Split right can't be accommodated due to the post/standoff that connects from the case to the plate. It interferes with where you would insert the switch. Having tested and played around with the proto, I'm pretty happy with the amount of flex and give the board has and I think moving the mounting point a column up or down, or even to the middle would shift the stiffness of the alpha section significantly.

Cap availability was also a big thing with Lunar mk1. Either salvage a second board for a single cap or have a resin cast one.

That said, I'd really enjoy having split right shift for hhkb arrows... I'll probably just map shift to fn and still throw hhkb arrows under there.

Really bummed i being forced to use alps, but i want that solenoid BAD.I guess I can just get some alp-mx adapters or something, and i guess i'll get the chance to use some vintage switches.. Hopefully someone will make an mx pcb.
Why not just make the pcb take both?

The primary objective is to create a board that uses Alps switches. Almost every other PCB created in this hobby is for MX switches, so you've got your choice there. As for the Solenoid, if that is your primary concern, there are ways of creating this on your own. Mike Walker of Walker Keyboard Science on YouTube has done just that, if I remember correctly.

Can we use other PCB/plate combo with this case since it has the standard 60% mounting points? Planning to use an H60 along with a new set of Dell AT101 caps in this beautiful case

It doesn't use the standard 60% mounting points. It's different positions and mounts to the plate instead of the PCB, so it will not be compatible with other projects/cases I'm afraid

Not that this really matters (im wanting to get this either way)... I am curious as to what type of USB will be used on this PCB? Assuming it will be USB Mini, but hoping for USBC of course
