I love this set, it is really beautiful, it is a pity that there is not an ortho set. To make an ortho set like the one in the pictures, I need to buy 3 different sets and waste a lot of keycaps.

There’s a good chance, given the popularity of the set, that CandyKeys will have extras for sale, so follow them on social media and cross your fingers.

Vendor usually won't post extras until they've completely finished shipping to the GB participants, so probably a little later depending on the vendor. Sign up for newsletters from the vendors. They usually announce.

Yes, there will be extras for sale when the set ships. This will most likely be some time next summer. When that happens, CandyKeys will put out an announcement, and going from the popularity of this set, they will probably have quite a few extras. However, they will be significantly more expensive than at group buy (I just bought some Ursa extras, and the premium was about 30%), and they will be gone in a SECOND, so be there when they drop. So, best route is to follow CK on insta, get their newsletter and request a stock notification - but be careful, when you have received the in-stock email and clicked the link, they may already be gone...

I certainly hope so too. I feel like there’s less turn around time with second rounds of sets, because the colour matching has been done already and GMK have already produced any custom moulds. I might be wrong, of course.

Unfortunately shouldn't be surprising at this point. GMK sets have been getting pushed back for well over a year no. Kind of the status quo these days.

At this point I just kick back and wait to be surprised when a GB ships.

I can totally sympathize. Unfortunately, I have joined a lot of GB from 2020, and if this is going to be the trend from here on out, I'll be sitting out of any GMK GB until they improve their lead time significantly by adding new machines, or whatever.

Didn't GMK themselves also release a statement not long ago saying their production is expected to double in speed as well?

Yeah.. Hopefully Biip can shed some light on this. I would understand if the delay is caused by color matching, but this is a second round of a set, so I imagine that no color matching is needed? CMIIW tho.
Anywho, WRT GMK adding more resources (machines, and whatnot), not sure if that's actually happening or was that just PR speak?

With lockdowns (and COVID obviously) in Germany, GMK suffered a lot regarding deadlines.

Deskpads have all been completed and shipped to proxies. NovelKeys has fully shipped out deskpad orders. I am not sure if proxies have, but they have been shipped the deskpads.
