You can both them if you want.  Not my cup of tea.  I prefer coffee.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

When i lived with people years ago there was a jar of nutella in the fridge. My friend told me not to eat it as it was his pee pee nutella for when his girlfriend came round. I did not eat it.

You could do a similar thing with vegimite.

That’s one way to stop people from eating your stuff when in a share house.
Wonder if that would be as effective at work?

It’s attempting to copy at least 3 things in one.  Godspeed colorway, mito modifiers, novelkeys idea for star wars theme with novelties.  It’s even bold enough to put the official Star Wars logo on it. Mike’s set on novelkeys is extremely expensive just because of licensing.  It’s just the epitome of AliExpress to me

You can't actually own ideas. Owner ship is not a real thing, it's a guideline, business conduct.  Even when all the things fall into place for a very rich, powerful or LUCKY person to own something IN HIS LIFETIME,  he can not own it forever.. sooner or later, his legacy (family) etc will slip up/ be killed / or tricked , someone else will then eat their dinners.

That's just the way of -Lifeforms-..  Don't get mad about it,  go invent something else.

You can’t mess around with that acid reflux, if you’re prone to it.

My mother ended up passing away from esophageal cancer partially caused by scarring in her throat from acid reflux.

I had a particularly severe acid reflux attack myself on the last night of June 2017. I’ve not drank a soda since that day, and I now sleep propped up on 2 pillows and take a omeoprazole pill every day. It was such a painful experience I don’t want to experience it ever again.
And truth be told, knowing it helped lead to my mother’s death also disturbs me quite a bit.

Great. So cancer can be caused by that too? That's just great.

I have had problems with reflux since 2011 when I had surgery for colon cancer. I learned then that I have a hereditary increased risk of cancer, especially in colon and stomach.
Reflux was caused by having too many pain killers directly after surgery, and contributed by IBS caused by my remaining colon being stiff for years after afterwards (as I have witnessed myself in my yearly colonoscopy)
"Just ignore the pain high up in your stomach. It is normal for pain with causes in your lower stomach to radiate upwards. But do continue to take your medication.". Yeah, thank you ***hole doctor for that advice! It only ruined my cardia and given me pain for years.
I can not even lie down on my right side, because then it starts hurting.
Oh, so there's a risk that this will cause cancer as well? No doctor has told me that. Well, that's just great.

I've seen some news lately that drinking tea that's >140F has been shown to increase esophageal cancer risks as well.

Those are very different styles of comedy. Irreverent vs scripted. You don't like nonsequiter or or irreverent stuff. I'd reckon Aqua Teen, Eric Andre, Kroll Show, Bojack Horseman and stuff like that isn't up your alleyhole?

Not pupticularly.  Maybe it's because I haven't had anything to smoke in over five years.  I don't know, these days I'm fine with a DIY YT video or some Trek.

I wouldn't paint it so black and white, they are just two different styles of delivering humor. Sometimes the humor is that there is no punchline, or that the situation shows starkly the absurdity that is the stage of life.

Sometimes I wanna watch The Marx Brothers but sometimes I wanna watch Jackass. (in this case using slapstick as a specific comedic medium of showing scripted vs irreverent comedic styles)

I'm not much of a painter.  Of course, I can paint a room but I can't paint a picture of a room if you know what I mean.  I use to like CKY1-4.  Though I usually prefer to watch fresh skating, hesh is fine too I guess.

For now. However privacy given up is privacy never gained back. Sure right now google might not be doing anything omniscious with that data, but it's not unimaginable that changes sometime in the future. In that case we'll sure be glad we didn't give up our privacy for free.

Besides, **** google, even if my data is meaningless, that doesn't mean they get to have it.

A small minority of computer/internet users are just beginning to scratch the surface of comprehending what "the World Wide Web" is/will/has already become.

Privacy is no longer even visible in the rear-view mirror. Governments, interpersonal relationships, religion, all will be swept aside as this omnivore behemoth expands into every aspect of human life.

Truly the opiate of the masses.

Yikes, indeed

"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Data-Collection in a FAIR and Equal society is merely a SELF-monitoring system.

However, in human society, Because of the immense wealth and power gap between the Farmer and the Flock,  Privacy is a reserve resource in the balance of power.

Privacy is powerful because it is not easy to oppress a population when their actions can not be reliably predicted.

But OVERALL, I don't believe anyone has to worry about the lack of privacy, because at the other end of this,   the lack-of-privacy,  the collection-of-data,   THESE POWERS, are wielded by OTHER humans.   These OTHER humans are NOT significantly more intelligent, and their Bodies are just as frail. They can **** around, but they'll die in 70 years like everyone else.

Yes, these humans have a greater potential to cause harm, but again, the harms are trivial at the scale of geological time (of which life is evolved to deal with).  AT WORST, all hughmahns die, and multicellular life starts over again from grass.  It did not take that long to make humans,   maybe after us,  Horse-People.  Eventually, maybe earthlings break the space barrier, maybe it all perishes,  ALL OK.

Overtime, the MOST OBVIOUS history lesson is that NO ONE is In Control. Leaders who believe themselves Gods are foolish, and they're wasting their own time living in fear of losing something they never truly possessed in the first place. Instead of going to meetings and facing down people that h8 them, they could've been fishing, or playing starcraft.

At the end of the day, Life is not much better whether one is rich/poor powerful/powerless.

You eat 3 meals a day, you p00p, and you sleep, SOMETIMES, secs..

EVERY human lives this way, and experience life more/less equally, with minor variations. People who choose to be leaders are not dumber, but they are as much trapped by their device of control, as those who they intend to rule.

TP, this post isn't in bold. Are you feeling okay?

Tp4 fonts, updated,  mobile users have been complaining about 2 much scroll, EVEN while they themselves throw around giant nested quotes.

Bunch of hypocrits, but what can u do..

Going forward, fonts will be dynamic, small posts may have larger font, Lengthy ones will use compact.

wtf, I want to apply to Google so much right now
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

"Smart"-phone zombies bother me. What was considered decent polite behaviour a decade ago is gone.
Being obnoxious and not caring about aaaanything else in the world except what is on the screen is the new norm, sadly.

I concur with your observations and I too find that sad.
I’ve even fallen prey to it myself knowing all this, being more concerned about whatever little curiosity I’m looking up over the presence of others around me.

This is why I decided some time back that my iPhone 5s is the last smart phone I intend to have for the foreseeable future.  Should it eventually die, I shall replace it with just a small dumb cell phone, or some unique e-ink minimalist thing.  Calls and texting are all I need, though email would be nice but not a deal breaker.

I should spend more time experiencing the present, being in the moment.... before all my moments have run out and I’m gone.

Easier said than done though, these electronic gadgets today are made to be addictive - and they’re good at doing it.

I was later to the smartphone world than most at the time (didn't get one until 2014 and only because of my job), and one of the main reasons I resisted so much was because I watched everyone around me slowly becoming a zombie, more attached to their phones than the world around them.  Now that I have a smartphone, I have to actively try to not fall into that trap as well.  It's crazy how easy it is.

I've got an iPhone SE, so basically the same as you, and I'm in total agreement.  I likely won't go back to a non-smartphone, because the navigation and travel-related convenience of a smartphone does make it entirely worth it to me.  Still though, I am constantly uninstalling apps and scaling back my usage to only the necessary functions or those that truly bring value to my life.

I still have only a flip phone, and I really don't even want that. My wife did too until recently, and now she complains about it all the time because stuff stops working all the time and she's paranoid about 1984 type stuff.

It helps that I also hate the smartphone/tablet experience. Doing anything with a touchscreen or through an app is way more annoying that just sitting down at a desktop computer and doing it.

Did you guys read the article about young people's growing bone spurs on the backs of their skulls from looking down at phones so much?
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

It annoys me to no end that so many sites are starting to optimize for mobile and just completely muck up the user experience for desktop users.  :|

I haven't seen the article you're referring to, but I'm not at all surprised.  It reminds me of the neck issues that started cropping up when people hung their TVs too high after that became a possibility with lighter TVs.

The bone spurs turned out to be mostly a hoax.

I will recommend this excellent book again, a short easy read:

"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Bus drivers today were huge *******s. Never in my life have I ever even thought of filing a complaint against the Metro, but today I filed two.

It's all I can do, hopefully some form of action is taken.

I see them everywhere - it is so tempting to walk into one and hope it drops its phone, but then they'd probably go mental on you if they blamed you for a cracked screen.  Safer just to look the other way.

This is how young people are..

I remember when people older than I am complaining about young people and walkmens.  If we find ourselves opponent of such phenomenon it's merely an indicator of our own sooner to be demise.

Hmm, I'll just go back to believing nothing. I didn't see it on a social medium though. I looked it up after a co-worker told me about it, but I suppose that's probably where he got it.

audax989  - a liar and a thief. do not sell to him. he'll make up ridiculous lies and open up paypal disputes. buys stuff without knowing what he pays for and then claims the item is not as described. an item I sent got damaged during shipping (a keycap set, first time ever something's been damaged and I've probably shipped 300 packages the last few years), but his main problem was that he got the wrong keycaps. it seems like he is delusional, so yeah, dodge him. offered him two different keycap sets, but only had pictures of one of them. he bought the one I didn't send him a picture of, and then his delusion kicked in when he started saying he got the wrong keycaps because the set he got had different sub-legends than what he bought. he bought a random ansi cherry dyesub set that I described as in good condition, but he opens a claim saying he didn't get the right keycaps because it doesn't look like the G81-3000 SAU set, but it's incredibly easy to tell from our PM's that he didn't intent on buying that set. not to mention the price difference between those. that the item got damaged is one thing, to make up lies saying you got the wrong item is scummy and a lie
