Is it possible to move the red led to the middle? I'm really digging this night rider theme. I know it may require some internal wiring from the pcb...

The zooming lights are meant to be on the back.. Having that sort of effect on the front would be a bit much in my opinion.

I thought was at the bottom left corner. Yeah it could be too much but people can turn it off, no? Maybe it can do a flash when it's plugged in like how Planck has a sound effect? I know I'm being silly here.

Anyway I'm pro in stock product and would definitely be following this.

The ones on the left are indicator Leds which is separate.

This looks so good! I might have to break my 'only one board per colour' rule and pick this up. I can see now why you only wanted to do it in black, fits the night rider theme amazingly.

This is hot, I'll start saving. I'm an exclusive left spacebar user so I like that change. I'm also a fan of the polycarb bottom, there's a limit to how heavy a board needs to be.

Relatively new to the custom keyboard community. I've joined 2 groupbuys, one of which was the 7V.
After seeing this post, I can confirm that 2 out of the first 3 custom keyboards I will own will be designed by gok.
So thank you for destroying my wallet gok!  :'( :thumb:

It's just the white on black colourway. You can get GMK White on Black from Drop.com or the Enjoypbt Abs version from KBDfans.
My vote would be for the GMK version.

First off, I freaking love this!! I am a big fan of the alice layout and have a Rukia on order. My only complaint with this is the spacebars are opposite of the alice(and all other clones) layout. I would love to see the space bars/mods flipped so the thumb fn key is on the left hand. Maybe that is just preference? Maybe because I am a right hand space bar user? That aside, the addition of more COOL LOOKING ergo layouts in the community are making my wrists and eyes very happy!

Indeed, it's because you're a right thumb space user. Us lefties would prefer it stay the way it is. But hopefully you should be good with the 1u+2.25u right space configuration?

As a lefty and a gamer I've found no issues using the smaller spacebar. I personally set right spacebar to backspace so it's easier for me to type.

+1 for me too. I asked for a wrist rest for Gondo’s Sagittarius, but I can’t remember doing so here.

...and IMO this is a very classy design, but if I’m feeling silly, I may want some Knight Rider dashboard key artisans..? Maybe Turbo Boost instead of Escape, and Super Pursuit Mode for Tab..?

I like the idea. Def in on this. It brings the angling of the Microsoft Natural 4000 with the function of Alice.

What layouts are you offering?

This concept is very appealing to me - my aesthetic senses are pleased, but is there any factual basis for the tented layout in regards to ergonomics, or is it purely for flair?
I'm partial to believe, we have somewhat similar typing habits, based on your deviations from the standard Alice layout - which I can only give a large thumbs up.

I'd be very interested in the possibility of participating in a groupbuy, but realistically only with a European or possibly Chinese vendor.

I tend to design things based on personal preferences so with regards to ergonomics, it won't be anything scientific. I will be comparing the tenting against a standard Alice layout board to see in which direction I want to head in or whether I need to make any adjustments to the layout.

Given what’s happening these days (NK65 and Primus crashing and selling out in two minutes), I strongly suggest you take the group buy route instead or I predict a lot of people are going to be disappointed. I know this will be more expensive but still, designers seem to underestimate the new popularity of this hobby.

I’m a bit taken aback by the Primus quick sell-out as well. But I’m a relative newcomer, so maybe I’m part of what’s causing pain here.

I think Louis / IlumKB had something like 650 slots, though I don’t know how many slots he reserved for the upcoming Taeha Types stream. And most of Europe / America was asleep too!

GB sounds good, or repeated batches of 100 / 200 units every month for a few months. It depends on how much work Deskeys and Gok can put into making up orders repeatedly.

I guess Gok will really want some time to design new boards too. We’d want that as well.

Gok, can we clone you?

Or maybe we need you to be the next Mekanisk / Rama?! (...hopefully slightly quicker than Rama at present.)

Agreed, I'd like this to be addressed as well. I know we're not targeting people entering into the hobby with board like this. However, (1) given how much interested have been provided in short amount of time and (2) endless r/mm flip potential, I think it would be better to not make it in-stock sale. I realize this would make things more complicated, but FOMO is way too big currently.

I won't be able to increase the number of units that are run each time because the manufacturer has said that its a very difficult design to machine due to the number of internal fillets and angle changes and have recommended that I limit the number of units for my sake and theirs.

With that said, I'd be open to run this design a few times as long as it doesn't hinder the development of other things I want to run.

Yeah, I'd rather production numbers be low to make sure the entire process goes smoothly and stays on schedule

I'm thinking of having split with fcfs, raffle and a small number a a vickrey.
