i spent a 100 or so replacing the tiny 16$ keychain pocket knives for my fiance's keychain after 911, after 5 replacements, and loosing a gerber multitool, she learned to live w/o one... yea i know, why didn't she remember to take it off b4 flying? who remembers? especially something on your keychain, and none of those knives ever made it back to me... (sign a form they mail it i think, or pick it up after your flight)

In my country it is illegal to wear even a pocket knife in a public place. It is considered a "concealed weapon" ... You lose it, and never get it back.

The google translate needs some German Lessons.

Still, I tried to read through the first review, where he critiques the moblie disco, and praises the zeppelin feature.

Here it is on thinkgeek:

US Amazon:

The Swiss have a Army?  I always thought they were neutral.

Yes, they have and every man who fulfills his mandatory military training keeps his rifle at home after finishing his service.... :/

The Swiss even has a very impressive Army. Unlike most other Armys in Europe, the Swiss Army gives the complete equipment including Rifles to the guys when they finished the military training. So in every second house in Switzerland, there is a rifle like this.
And remember, this is not America. In Germany where I come from, onlly like 0,5% of the people has a gun at home. And those are almost all in official shooting clubs (sport). And these guns are not fit to fight a war, like carabiners and pistols.

Sinis> lol, you are right. This one is great. http://www.amazon.de/review/RC3F2AJ5L03UF/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt#RC3F2AJ5L03UF  Let me give you guys who cant read german an insight:

"While the integrated Fluxcompensator and the teleportation device are both working fine, I have trouble with both the integrated meat chopper and washing machine. It simply needs to much water!"

I want that comb! o.O I've always wanted a balisong and probably would have had a couple by now had I still been living in South Africa.  (I already had a fair amount of knives at the age of 14 when we left) But when we moved here because I was under 18 I had to get rid of them and I haven't quite had the heart to start over again. Also now, I have keyboards to spend money on.

This is my favorite knife

it's the only switch blade legal in the US.

Kershaw 1900UCBLK
The blade is made out of sandvik 13c26 surgical steel
It's fun to play with but it's not forgiving if the blade so much as touches your skin

Not sure about now, but during WWII it was a Schmidt-Rubin K-31 (Model 1931). A 7.5mm straight pull bolt action rifle.  They are built with the usual Swiss fine tolerances and are scary accurate, even with just iron sights.  Very fine antique rifles.  I have ten.

Bayonets with 11 3/4" blades are available for them as well.

The rifles run about the price of a nice Topre keyboard and the bayonets about the price of a Filco.

The knife laws in Canada aren't bad.
No switch blades

Legally blades must be visable, otherwise it's conciderd a concealed weapon.
But no-one cares abought something pocket sized, larger knives should be worn on the belt though.

I cary a folding box cutter every day with a pocket clip,
I used to use it for work, and didn't feel like having to sharpen a blade every night, but I may replace it with something better.

A SIG SG 550 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIG_SG_550)

Wikipedia has a pretty good article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_Switzerland) on the laws they have over there. Rather liberal, yet very little crime.
